AGvocacy: Plant Fruit Trees!
http://agvocacy.blogspot.com/2012/08/plant-fruit-trees.html
Pro-active support for the 'growing' world of urban agriculture, small farms and local foods. Monday, August 13, 2012. Green Spaces make people happy but productive green spaces make people happy AND healthy! If you are going to plant a tree, make it a fruit tree. Even if you can't eat all the produce yourself, quite often your local farm stand will "buy" this wonderful locally grown food from you; thereby stimulating the local economy! It just makes sense! Pro-active support for the 'growing' world of urban agriculture, small farms and local foods. Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Stevia: A not so sweet history. There is nothing I love more than a good story assignment that leads me to uncover the benefits of a naturally grown product but to uncover a controversy in the process; puts me in my element. http://wildcarrotfarm.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Wild Carrot Farm Blog. Eat Seasonal - Eat Local - Eat Organic! Tuesday, April 5, 2011. Wild onions are a very flavorful delicious edible. They are one of the first plants to push through the ground in spring. They look like a cross between chives and scallions. Their leaves, bulbs, and flowers are all edible and have a distinctive sharp flavor and scent. I simply sauteed these wild onions in olive oil with a little bit of salt and pepper.
