In 2011, the purchase by the Town of Comox for 2.56 hectares (6.3 acres) of waterfront land, once known as the Baybrook Farm, was concluded. The property was purchased for $2.1 million with a three year purchase agreement between the Town of Comox, Mr. Bay and the Nature Trust of B.C.
