http://www.superyachtcuisine.com/2013/12/clouds-and-cloud-formations.html
Food, Provisioning, Superyacht Events, Recipes, Natural Health. Wednesday, 18 December 2013. Clouds and Cloud Formations. On yachts of any size and type most crew will do a lot of cloud observations during watches. I have found over the years I have a far idea on what the clouds means through shear thousands of hours of sky watching. But to make it easy here are some You Tube clips explaining whats going on. I love the second one even though it is long, so vintage as obviously it is lol! You Tube Clip;.

Narrowboat Honey: The weather and our boating plans...
http://www.narrowboating.org.uk/2014/08/the-weather-and-our-boating-plans.html
Saturday, 2 August 2014. The weather and our boating plans. After two weeks of Mediterranean weather, we clambered aboard Honey just in time for the downpours. Settling in was quick, but we haven't been able to give Honey the thorough wash she deserves; that will have to wait until the rain stops. We met the local branch of the IWA at Hurleston Locks, where they were doing all the hard work in exchange for donations, and they were so friendly and helpful despite the weather. 1 November 2016 at 12:36.

Karl Uppiano -- Engineering: Charging Your Smart Phone
http://kuppiano.blogspot.com/2016/01/charging-your-smart-phone.html
Karl Uppiano - Engineering. Thursday, January 14, 2016. Charging Your Smart Phone. There seems to be a lot of misinformation about "how to charge your smart phone". Such as not to let your battery get too low. Not to charge it overnight. Not to leave it charging after it has fully charged. Not to run your phone while charging. Not to use a "different" charger from the one that came with the phone. And probably more that I haven't seen yet. October 28, 2016 at 2:58 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments ( Atom ).

Karl Uppiano -- Engineering: Vinyl Stereo Encoding -- Not That Anybody Cares
http://kuppiano.blogspot.com/2016/08/vinyl-stereo-encoding-not-that-anybody_92.html
Karl Uppiano - Engineering. Saturday, August 6, 2016. Vinyl Stereo Encoding - Not That Anybody Cares. Audio on vinyl is having a resurgence among audiophiles and millennials, despite the fact that CD audio, and higher resolution audio on DVDs and Blu Ray is orders of magnitude better in every measurable way. It is also more convenient, generally skip-proof (in memory and solid state drives - and if you don't like MP3 compressed. So why is vinyl still popular? Well, it's fun! And vanishingly low distortion.

Ylva Maid: I hate British weather
http://www.ylvamaid.com/2009/10/i-hate-british-weather.html
Charting adventures with my Swedish built Hallberg P-28. Sunday, 11 October 2009. I hate British weather. Spent a fustrating weekend on YM - mainly under canvas. It was raining almost constantly. But, I did get lots of sanding done, and the forward side of the cockpit is looking pretty good. Not done much below deck yet, but I have started planning the new layout. 1 November 2016 at 13:00.
