LEADING AND LOVING IT EVENT: ORANGE COUNTY | ::compassion groove::

LEADING AND LOVING IT EVENT: ORANGE COUNTY. October 24, 2011. Leading and Loving I. Is a community that connects, encourages, and supports pastors’ wives and women in ministry. 8220;I think the typical Pastor’s Wife is dead. You know, that woman who had it all together, never seemed to struggle, played the piano, attended every event, and met everyone’s expectations although she could have had some help with her wardrobe. Lori Wilhite (Founder of Leading and Loving It). Leading and Loving It. We’ll...

October 4, 2011. 8220;The best ideas must move you before they can move someone else. And so you must begin at your core. Find that thing that causes a lump in your throat and moves you deeply then work from there.”. Untitled, Thoughts on the Creative Process). I just really love this. It’s a call to inspire. A reminder to not go numb. A charge to passionately create. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).
MY HEART IS FULL | ::compassion groove::
https://compassiongroove.wordpress.com/2011/10/17/my-heart-is-full
MY HEART IS FULL. October 17, 2011. Last weekend was really special. It was a unique combination of family, dear friends, and 26.2 miles in a city that we absolutely love. After months of early mornings, heat, hills, and logging miles John and his best friend Dave joined 45,000 other people to run the Chicago Marathon. First marathon. ever. I have never run a marathon. My dad has. My sister has. I have three cousins who have. My husband has. It was like a homecoming seeing those faces. Every time you cro...
WELCOME SUMMER | ::compassion groove::
https://compassiongroove.wordpress.com/2011/07/09/welcome-summer
July 9, 2011. Summer is officially in full swing. Everywhere you look the season has left its mark. There are watermelon slices in the fridge, wet swimsuits slung over shower rods, and the air-conditioning is running full blast. This is our first California summer. Which is kind of big deal for us. It has been a year of milestones and this summer season is no exception. God didn’t leave us hanging. He showed up in big ways through these remarkable women. We'll keep our day jobs. And baby makes three. We're thrilled to be sharing our exciting news with you! Look for Baby E to arrive on or around September 2010. Above is Baby's 10 week sonogram, which isn't an accurate photo of Baby today. Mommy is now at 15 weeks and can only image how much Baby has grown. We'll find out tomorrow at our doctor's appointment. Below are a few more pictures Alex took of the three of us. If you look closely, you'll see a very slight baby bump:). Snorkeling fun with Naomi and ...

Happy Year of the Ox! Our new favorite mode of public transportation, a tricycle, is basically a 2-person carriage welded to the side of a dirt bike. Much cheaper and more enjoyable than a taxi. We started out our trip on Mactan Island, Cebu, where we stayed in a nice resort for a couple of days. Although we enjoyed our time there, it paled in comparison to Moalboal, a city on the southwestern part of the island where we spent the remainder of our trip. Keep reading to see why. And our personal favorite,...
Made in Taiwan: Malaysian Holiday
http://chipandchels.blogspot.com/2010/03/malaysian-holiday.html
Borneo is truly beautiful (with exception to the immense amount of deforestation taking place there). Enjoy our pics. Including the Ewalds, 7 people from our company went to Borneo for the new year. Although we only crossed paths a couple of times, it was certainly fun to enjoy the company of our friends while vacationing. On our flight over we traveled with good friends Naomi and Ashley. Off the crystal clear waters of Mabul and Sipidan. Chip entering the water for a dive. Traveling in these parts is do...
knit me 2gthr: i'm back, i think, but it's 6:30pm in rwanda

How i make sense of things. Tuesday, August 25, 2009. I'm back, i think, but it's 6:30pm in rwanda. My body is here but I feel very detached. Thanking God for safe flights, happy family, hot showers and ice in my coffee. My thoughts about the trip are random and disconnected, so bare with me. Probably will be for some time. Rwanda seems to do this to people. This photo was taken at the Bethsaida. HIV/Aids cooperative where infected people create. Rwandan baskets like the one I photo'd. In almost super-hu...
knit me 2gthr: face time
http://knitme2gthr.blogspot.com/2009/09/face-time.html
How i make sense of things. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. But here, it's a different story. At work, in relationships, and in service, I generally have time to figure out how I'm expected to behave. In the past, this required a measure of skill, because of all I had to lose. (Too honest for you? There's a great song by Switchfoot called This Is Your Life, and it goes like this:. This is your life, are you who you want to be? What is left to fear? Just reminding myself.). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Jesus is my friend. Thank you Montsy for leading us to this gem. When some of our family members and supporters have asked, "what in the world is a blog? We usually describe it as "a public, online journal." I think that's a pretty good description. But depending on the day, that description can sound like a real contradiction in terms. A collection of public secrets. A list of private announcements. So the question that I've been wondering lately is just how honest can we be on this thing? Our great fri...

Our Christmas in Taiwan. For several months now, we've been wondering what Christmas in Taiwan would feel like. So it's finally Christmas Eve, and we're still not exactly sure how to feel about it. :). Christmas is somewhat celebrated here in Taiwan. Nearly everyone works on Christmas Day, as it's not an official holiday. But there are plenty of decorated trees, lights, poinsettias, christmassy. Figurines and greenery, and inflatable Frosties. Our prayer is that wherever you are and however you may be ce...

How i make sense of things. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Last weekend I got to be on the Route Safety Bike Crew at the Boston Breast Cancer 3 Day. There were about 18 of us on all kinds of bikes who were tasked with patrolling the line of 1600 walkers on their daily journey and keeping them safe. It was the most fun I've ever had on two wheels. One thing that is surely the same is we will all need each other every day to do the tasks that are planned - thank God that he created us to work as a team! And each ...
