In about 36 hours I leave for four weeks of travel, which will include 3 National Championship events in 3 different states in eight days, one of the most challenging Ironman races in the world the following week and by my estimate about 17,500 miles of travel, 14 flights and several days on my motorcycle. I start off with Ironman St.George 70.3. I do wish I had a ...

Sochi – Heavy Medal | Competitive Image
https://competitiveimage.wordpress.com/2014/02/23/sochi-heavy-medal
Capturing the Indomitable Spirit of Sport. Skip to primary content. February 23, 2014. I had only been to the Olympic Park a couple of times – for the Opening Ceremonies, Curling, Short-Track and Speed Skating. Having said that, I never really got to see the Olympic Park at all. I was at the Main Media Center (MMC) and then on a bus to the venue. I figured going down for a Medal Ceremony would be the best chance possible. In general, I always allowed 2 hours and that was just to get to the MMC. Wednesday...

Yndecam: October 2009
http://yndecam.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 3, 2009. This would be my 3rd Ironman (having done AZ 06', and FL 07' - skipped 08' so I could go watch CY in Kona) and I was admittedly not very nervous and didn't have any real pressure. My goal was to really just get out there and enjoy the day and try to finish in under 13hrs. I've always wanted to do IMWI as it's my home state and the crowds there are fantastic! I've gone to watch the race 4-5 times and always thought about signing up. I got a few strange looks like who is this guy...

We took morning boat ride on the Nile, getting on the water just at sunrise. We have done a number of afternoon boat trips heading towards the Murchison Falls, but this morning trip is a new setup - just us and the guide in a little outboard. $40 gets you the boat and theyll take up to four people. Not bad. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Is a fan of.

Philsgood photo a day. Monday, December 7, 2009. Lion in Murchison Falls National Park Uganda. Labels: 70-200mm f/2.8. Dec 9, 2009, 2:22:00 AM. Probably our last safari, at least for the foreseeable future, but it was a good one! The evening before we had gone on a game drive looking for lions but it got dark (and stormy) before we were successful. We knew where they were - we could tell by the behavior of the other animals - but we couldnt spot them. This trip, like our trip to Murchison last May. Subsc...
