With things like instagram, personal and professional obligations, it gets harder and harder to blog regularly. Sometimes it's just easier to take a snapshot during the day and capture little moments that way. But I miss it! I turned 30 this week. My best girls flew in from the opposite coast, there was an impromptu party, everyone wore cat or bunny ears. (There is something awesome to be said about your friends when they come in, see said ears and put them on without question.). July 1, 2012 at 10:05 AM.

On Fish and food. I used to be called "Fish" and to this day, I am still not sure why. Possibly a reference to my supremely heavy lenses. It's taken me about 20 years (did I say that right? To be comfortable with being an everyday glasses kind of girl. I'm currently picking out spiffy new specs from Mezzmer. Right now. Show and tell later, for sure. I finally had some local tacos. And they were wonderful. There's really nothing else to say about that. I see nose pads on those glasses.HUZZAH! A Cup of Jo.

I don't shop much anymore but scored some good walking flats off of Hautelook. You can still get them from shoe sites. Online. They are PUMA Zandy's in rouge red, although in real life are definitely hot pink. It's been a long time since I've had a cupcake worth paying for. Is that harsh? Whatever, these were. Saturday evening, 9/10/2016, Albuquerque lost a true citizen an active, feisty, hilarious woman who was so incredibly engaged in her life, her family and her community that I struggle to imagine another like her: Toots (Virginia) Rideout Obenshain.
