Composites Testing Laboratory (CTL) Ltd is the only independent test laboratory within the EU specialising in composite materials testing. CTL offer their customers a fast, flexible, cost competitive and the highest quality service. Testing services include mechanical testing (static, dynamic and impact), environmental, physical and fractography testing. Was established as an accredited testing laboratory for advanced composite materials in 1998, and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of ÉireComposites Teo.

The technical equipment in the Composites testing laboratory includes machines that allow the most demanding and difficult tasks in the area of composites testing to be achieved:. 1 x Zwick 400kN Universal test machines. 1 x Zwick 250kN Universal test machines. 1 x Zwick 10kN Universal test machines. All static machines include environmental chambers with an operating range of -70 C to 150 C. 2 x Instron 250kN servo-hydraulic test machine. 5 x Instron 100kN servo-hydraulic test machine. 1 x DMA machine.

Composites Testing Lab have the ability and equipment to carry out the following test types:. Compression testing (Celanese, Cruciform, CLC and CAI). Open hole tension and compression. Filled hole tension and compression. Mode I and Mode II fracture. 3 and 4 point bend tests for monolithic and sandwich specimens. Climbing Drum and Roller Peel. Specialised component and structural testing. Mechanical testing can be performed within the temperature range of -70 C up to and including 150 C.
