Ooh! Look! Pie!: Burger Challenge #24
http://oohlookpie.blogspot.com/2010/09/burger-challenge-24.html
Sunday, September 5, 2010. This here (above) was my burger, the Black and Blue. I ordered it because I love blue cheese. Upon glancing at the menu, I thought it was also supposed to come with bacon. When it arrived without bacon, I asked the waitress why, and she said that it wasn't supposed to. This was the Zola burger, which my Mother-in-law got, and it comes topped with bacon and shaved ham. Geezle-petes. She also got the asian slaw, which was that ramen noodle stuff. It was really good. 7 Oakley Pub ...

Well, they did throw in a little surprise when Ryan's medium burger came to him fully done, but he refused a re-cook in the interest of time. Here is what we've had so far:. 7 Oakley Pub and Grill. 9 Keystone Bar and Grill. 25 Chalk Food Wine. 28 Doris and Sonny's Homelike Restaurant. Alli (One Pearl Button). Cincinnati Magazine...

Ooh! Look! Pie!: Burger Challenge # 25
http://oohlookpie.blogspot.com/2010/08/burger-challenge-25.html
Monday, August 30, 2010. Burger Challenge # 25. Image above via Metromix. Even though the image above it teeny-tiny, it's the only one I could find that wasn't from someone else's blog! We both took our parents. My Mom and I shared the Fig and Caramelized Onion tart, above, which was garnished with pickled bing cherries and whipped, vanilla, mascarpone cheese. It was heavenly. I would have been content to leave it at that. And bread. They loved it. The bread was good by itself, too. This is the fifth tri...

Ooh! Look! Pie!: 12 Cookies of Christmas - "Perfect" Chocolate Chip Cookies
http://oohlookpie.blogspot.com/2012/12/12-cookies-of-christmas-perfect.html
Tuesday, December 18, 2012. 12 Cookies of Christmas - "Perfect" Chocolate Chip Cookies. Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies, my ass. I saw this recipe on plain chicken and was really excited to try it. I was pumped when the instructions required browning the butter first. I love things made with browned butter. They add such a beautiful, roasted nutty flavor to baked goods. This is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe. I should have stuck with it. And then you throw everything else together. Bahahaha. a ...

Monday, December 17, 2012. 28 and 29 weeks! It's getting too cold to take pictures outside, and it's been raining the past 2 Sundays in a row. Boo. In the freezer and I'm going to be really depressed if I have to wait until March 4th to eat it! I haven't been craving much lately. The only thing I wrote down that I really wanted was a Mango Lassi from an Indian restaurant, but that's it. Labels: Bun in the oven. December 18, 2012 at 6:52 AM. Mango lassi, the best! You look so great pregnant! Well, technic...

http://icantpaymyfines.blogspot.com/2011/09/whose-job-is-it-to-sit-around-and.html
Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Whose job is it to sit around and speculate this stuff? Patron: You know the 30 pieces of silver Judas was paid to betray Jesus? How much is that in today's money? Not only did Google provide our librarian with a plethora of sites that answered that question, but it finished her question for her as she was asking it! The answer might be $950.or possibly $5,000. You need to define, "piece.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). You Have to Write a Paper About What?

Saturday, September 24, 2011. I think you might have bigger problems that you realize. Patron: What kind of foods have a lot of fiber? Librarian: Pretty much everything has a small amount, but some have a lot more than others. Mostly plant based foods. Patron: So butter has fiber in it? Librarian: Um. No. Patron: What about cheese and meatballs? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). People whose blogs keep me mildly sane during the day. You Have to Write a Paper About What? View my complete profile.

Librarian: No, that's still in theaters. Patron: Not even a bootleg copy? Librarian: Sir, those are illegal. Patron: Okay, I tell you what. I get a bootleg copy and I make a bunch of copies and I give them to the library! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). People whose blogs keep me mildly sane during the day.

Monday, April 30, 2012. The Gods of Gotham. By Lyndsay Faye — 432 pgs. In this arresting work of historical fiction, Lyndsay Faye gives her readers a vibrant and visceral portrait of 19th century New York imbued with a cast of characters that are as unforgettable as they are complex. I initially became interested in this book when Jen from Devourer of Books. Hosted it as one of her monthly BOOK CLUB. Selections. I was lucky enough to get picked to participate in the discussion, which can be found here.
