The Livejournal Book Club. For those who love to read. Feb 1st, 2008. Can I just check if anybody actually read the book for January? I've had a couple of messages from people saying they've not finished or just started, which is perfectly understandable, believe me! I just wondered if people are actually 'playing along'? What else have you all been reading of late? 3 comments Leave a comment. Feb 11th, 2008 12:52 am (UTC). I read Love in the Time of Cholera. While we're waiting for people to catch up.

The Livejournal Book Club. For those who love to read. The Time Traveler's Wife. Mar 1st, 2008 at 10:44 AM. Wow I've finally finished the book. I didn't start in January, because I was snowed under. For the last few days I couldn't put it down. My lord, I sobbed my little heart out for most of the latter half of the book. Enjoyed it so much but it evoked so much emotion that I don't think I could give it a second read anytime soon! The film comes out in November! 3 comments Leave a comment.

The Livejournal Book Club. For those who love to read. Dec 10th, 2007. I finished Wicked last night. The novel really did challenge my perception of The Wizard of Oz and I can't wait to watch it with fresh eyes, so much so that I've asked for a copy of the DVD for Christmas. 4 comments Leave a comment. Dec 11th, 2007 02:40 am (UTC). I thought it ended rather abruptly, and it felt like the author was rushed since he already knew what the outcome "had" to be. Dec 13th, 2007 06:40 pm (UTC). Cool, what is it?

http://theljbookclub.livejournal.com/6908.html
The Livejournal Book Club. For those who love to read. Mar 2nd, 2008. Do you think it would be better to do away with 'Book of the Month' and just have a book that we're all reading, then when it seems most people are finished we could move on to another? What could we call this. "book of the moment"? 1 comment Leave a comment. Mar 3rd, 2008 07:48 pm (UTC). I'm in Poland so I can't get hold of all sorts of books, but I'm reading a LOT at the moment and feel like discussing books in general.
