Documenting a year of study and exploration in the UK. Sunday, January 30, 2011. 12 Hours in London. I started off pretty early, because I wanted to get to Borough Market. Early, before the crowds got too big. I'm glad I did, I think I was there by about 10am, still plenty busy, but easy to walk around too. There was tons of fresh meat, fish (including authentic Arbroath Smokies), vegetables, baked goods, etc. here was one soup stand that was cooking an assortment of curries in big vats:. By the time I g...

A range of handmade preserves made in Milton Keynes from fruit and vegetables grown in Milton Keynes. Thursday, 21 August 2014. Making a meal without going shopping. The family tucked into the meal with enthusiasm and even commented on how tasty the chicken sauce was and how much they liked the leaf beet in with the duck. They say that necessity is the mother of invention and being too lazy to go shopping had certainly made me more creative with what I had to hand. Posted by Jammy Cow. Posted by Jammy Cow.

A range of handmade preserves made in Milton Keynes from fruit and vegetables grown in Milton Keynes. Wednesday, 22 October 2014. A little egg white - about 2 teaspoons. 1 tiny clove of garlic. 3/4 tsp soy sauce. So, when my ...

JamMK: Raspberry Rice Pudding
http://jammycowmk.blogspot.com/2015/07/raspberry-rice-pudding.html
A range of handmade preserves made in Milton Keynes from fruit and vegetables grown in Milton Keynes. Tuesday, 7 July 2015. In the hot weather we have been having recently, rice pudding is probably the last thing you fancy for afters. And topped with a drizzling of raspberry sauce, it simply zings with the flavours of summer. A grating of nutmeg.

A range of handmade preserves made in Milton Keynes from fruit and vegetables grown in Milton Keynes. Monday, 4 May 2015. Rhubarb and Ginger Crumble. I've got a lovely crop of rhubarb this year and, to be quite honest, there is only so much Rhubarb and Ginger Jam I want to make. So, rather than jamming it all, I've been looking around for other things to do with it. I have stuck some in my dehydrator and made rhubarb fruit leather, I've made lollies as suggested by Hugh from River Cottage. 2 oz (55g) oats.

Saturday, 28 June 2014. Weapons in the Cherry War. Despite all this I have managed to bag about 4 or 5 pounds of cherries from the tree this year but I am relieved that there aren't any on the tree anymore so I can relax. Mind you, this morning I had to chase a squirrel out of the hazelnut tree. Here we go again! So tonig...
