What does Price per sq. ft. include. Purchasing our condo in the downtown area I found that the advertised size and the real size were quite different. Of course I was a tad upset about this. When I went to list the unit for sale the realtor advised me that they are only allowed to list a unit - quite simply from paint to paint. BUT - the resale offerings can only be listed as measured from paint to paint - inside the unit. 1000 square foot condo. Paint to paint. $400,000.

What does registered size mean? I would in future dealings contact the survey company in advance and get the detail from them as to how the instructions were in fact given. I had a feeling that some of the companies are a little more flexible with the rules than others - or shall I say use different standards. It seems there really are no standards in this province. The only rule seems to be with the Real Estate board and their rule states PAINT TO PAINT. So what if you are dealing with a by owner sale.
