Long overdue iMix #3 is now up on iTunes, chock full of 80's influenced stuff and other tracks that go along with the summery weather we've (sort of) been having lately. http://like-minded-people.blogspot.com/2007/08/hexstatic-when-robots-go-bad.html
Music I like.'n' that. Friday, August 24, 2007. Hexstatic - When Robots Go Bad. So no updates for three months eh? I've been a little pre-occupied with other areas of life for a while, but now I'm back with loads of new stuff to rant and rave about. First off, it's Hexstatic's brand new album for the Ninja tune label - When Robots Go Bad. Special highlights for me are Roll Over (video below), Red Laser Beam, Freak Me, and A Different Place. Roll Over (feat Sabirajade). Colcdut and Hexstatic - Timber.

like minded people: Tina Dico
http://like-minded-people.blogspot.com/2007/09/tina-dico.html
Music I like.'n' that. Tuesday, September 11, 2007. I was lucky enough to get tickets to a secret Tina Dico gig last night, held at the Electroacoustic Club at The Slaughtered Lamb in Clerkenwell. I for one can't wait to hear the new album, which this week entered the charts in her native Denmark at number one. Unfortunately the rest of us have to wait until next February for the UK release. Website: www.tinadico.com. Myspace: www.myspace.com/tinadico. Buy Tina's music from iTunes by clicking here. I usu...

like minded people: Captain - Keep An Open Mind
http://like-minded-people.blogspot.com/2008/05/captain-keep-open-mind.html
Music I like.'n' that. Saturday, May 24, 2008. Captain - Keep An Open Mind. Captain's new single "Keep An Open Mind" is out, and it's one of those must-buy tunes. Their debut album "This Is Hazelville" came out in 2006, and was an instant hit with me with it's Deacon Blue-esque band makeup, and sound. Killer songs, excellent album. Website: www.captaintheband.com/. Myspace: www.myspace.com/captaintheband. Buy Captain from Play.com. Keep An Open Mind" Digital Single. This Is Hazelville" Digital Album.

like minded people: Yazoo - The Reconnected Tour 2008
http://like-minded-people.blogspot.com/2008/06/yazoo-reconnected-tour-2008.html
Music I like.'n' that. Sunday, June 22, 2008. Yazoo - The Reconnected Tour 2008. It seems to be all the rage over the last few years for famous bands from the 80s to all get together and do reunion tours and nostalgia concerts. Thankfully one of my favourite bands from that era are being just a little more classy than that, and are back on tour on their own after a "break" of around 25 years. Highlights of the gig for me were "Sweet Thing", "Situation", and "The Other Side Of Love", which I strongly reco...

like minded people: Bassboosa - 'Succumb'
http://like-minded-people.blogspot.com/2008/07/bassboosa-succumb.html
Music I like.'n' that. Monday, July 14, 2008. At long last the first single release from Bassboosa 'Succumb' is OUT! If you haven't heard it yet, or the album for that matter, I seriously suggest checking it out in it's entirety. Succumb is one of my favourite tracks on the album, and is an awesome blend of pop with dark overtones, mixing electronica and live instrumentation. Here's the video for those that haven't heard it. A clip of the Future Funk Squad Remix:. Posted by High Eight.

like minded people: Jamie Lidell - Jim
http://like-minded-people.blogspot.com/2008/05/jamie-lidell-jim.html
Music I like.'n' that. Friday, May 23, 2008. Jamie Lidell - Jim. Wow, what a great follow up album from Jamie Lidell. 2005's "Multiply" was easily one of my favourite albums of that year, and I even wondered whether he'd be able to make anything as good for a follow up album. Well I was well and truly wrong! By all accounts his new live show is outstanding, so if he's playing in a town near you make sure you go along and see him play! This is well worth the money so get out there and buy it pronto! View ...
