Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies. Basketball season is almost upon us! Sheesh, it came so fast! My basketball team has an annual team retreat before we get super busy in season. For my very first baking entry, I decided to make a lemon cornmeal cake. Cupcakes just seemed so much cooler, so I modified the recipe a tiny bit. It’s my blog, I can do what I want! I had cornmeal in my pantry already (after a failed attempt to fry some okra). It was white cornmeal but hey, you get the idea right? A little improvising never hurt anyone. I think some old guy said improv is the heart of creation? Maybe I just made that up…. 1 cup packed powdered sugar, sifted. 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour.

Betty Crocker Supreme Bars Review. Some bakers think cooking prepackaged-box goods as cheating. I like to think of it as a nice head start……. Betty Crocker has done it again. UGH! They stuff their boxes with crack, CRACK I TELL YOU! Or maybe it’s the tender love I put into my baking…. either way these Supreme Bars came out pretty dang good. I saw these at the Dollar General on sale for a dollar so I picked it up thinking they would come in handy on a day when I had a sweet craving. Boy, was I right!
