Confessions of a Crafter: Yarn Works
http://confessions-of-a-crafter.blogspot.com/2012/05/yarn-works.html
Thursday, May 17, 2012. Between teething and regular nutty mom stuff, I haven't managed to get a post up in, like, forever! And hoping to post more regularly, I promise! So a lot of my crafting time lately has been taken up by crocheting and knitting. I've been making hats for gifts,. Sock Monkey, owl and bunny. And for Olivia,. Ravelry link) Love how this turned out! And this Knitted Convertible Cardigan. A vintage pattern done up in mohair. Maybe even deserving of a pattern? Who's up for one?

Confessions of a Crafter: November 2011
http://confessions-of-a-crafter.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 29, 2011. My sister's kids have their birthdays on the 22nd and 25th of December. I know. Great timing. And I sort of started a tradition for myself of making their birthday gifts, since we usually buy their Christmas ones. And this year was no exception! For the big 6 (! Year old, I found this Geologist Kit. Idea on Pintrest. I sewed up a vest and freezer stencilled his name on the front and 'Jr. Geologist' on the back:. I think I have more fun coming up with and making their gifts tha...

Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Art for Grandma's house. So my mom and dad recently moved to a new house and are taking their time in decorating the place. One thing Grandma REALLY wanted was grandkid artwork, so my sister and I got together and the kids painted some canvases. Since the ages range from 2 months to 5 years we kept the pieces similar by using the same size of canvas and paint colours for each one. Pretty pleased with the final product, although it would have been nice to get a good shot of all...

Wednesday, July 6, 2011. And a few other projects. First off, I finally decided what to do to finish of my black dress. I shortened it by a few inches and used more of the teal to do an outside casing over the elastic under the bust. I think I like it a lot more now! And I whipped up a Charlie Tee for Project First Day. Super easy to understand pattern! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Wednesday, December 21, 2011. I got a few pictures of our new little sweetie printed and followed this tutorial here. To mount them on canvases. I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out, but am nervous to try the 11" x 14" one I printed too. This one is 8" x 8". I hope I didn't go overboard with the "antique-ing". Now THAT.is a precious picture! December 10, 2012 at 3:23 PM. What a sweet capture of your precious little girl! And I adore the headband, too - very cute! Did you make it?

Thursday, June 30, 2011. And here's the outcome! Thanks for the suggestions! I added about 10" to the length (may take a bit off, as it feels just too long). Does it need anything else? I have a small piece (about 12" x 30") of the teal left. Any ideas for me? I found this dress at Walmart for $9 yesterday. I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of this. Will be a sort of prairie style, I guess. I could do less gathers, or no gathers, or pleat it? Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Upcycled Men's Dress Shirt. I placed the col...

Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Finally some time to update! This is why I haven't blogged in a while:. It's been a while since I posted here! I have been very busy since my last post in July. I was in the hospital on bedrest for a few weeks, then another few weeks with our daughter Abigail Grace in the NICU after my c-section. She is doing well - already 4 months old! Abigail, one day old. Ready to come home! Her little outfit I knitted while waiting to come home:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://lilbeanbaby.blogspot.com/2011/06/more-knitted-things-for-baby-girl.html
Thursday, June 16, 2011. More knitted things for baby girl. I've slowed down some with the knitting lately, as I'm finally feeling a little better this pregnancy - enough to get out more and do other things. But here are the last two finished items, which were waiting for buttons till last night. This is the dress I posted about. A while back - I chose the hearts fabric. I think it's about a size 6-12 mo (stretchy bodice because it's knitted). Labels: american girl doll. June 17, 2011 at 9:22 AM.

Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Here are a few of the things that have been keeping me occupied the past few months. Lovey for Abigail for Christmas. I made a lovey for each of the boys their first Christmas too. Little sweater I knitted this summer fits now! And baby leggies out of girls' socks. Reversible wrap dress from a friend's pattern. I made the red bodysuit too. Warm furry boots for Abigail (based on a mccalls pattern, but many mods). An owl set for my friend Suzanne. Queen Anne's Lace scarf.
.:Lil Bean:.: Help me decide which fabric to use!
http://lilbeanbaby.blogspot.com/2011/06/help-me-decide-which-fabric-to-use.html
Thursday, June 2, 2011. Help me decide which fabric to use! I'm almost finished another little dress for baby Widgette (due in Sept). The pattern is robe d'été en tricot et liberty. This is the designer's version:. Here's my problem - I can't decide which of these two fabrics would be better for this dress. (Maybe I just need to do a second one! Background is a pale pink, almost peach, but some of the apples are the bright red). Background is light cream). Most def the apples! June 2, 2011 at 8:57 PM.

Charming But Insane
Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Well, it does make sense that my first post (or first re-post) would be on HOC. I'm addicted to it. Two years and counting. Well, the counting part is kind of the problem. I wasn't enthusiastic enough. Le gasp, what could this mean? Potential disaster, I say. I literally need HOC in my life to keep my up and running. And I didn't get that tingle. I need that tingle. I will utterly die without it. I'm looking forward to the process. Now to wait. Posted by Violet Mist.

Confessions of a Curious Mind
Monday, January 9, 2012. By nicole from Flickr. Happy 2012 to CCM. Yes, it has been months since the last update. I have been through some challenging times and I needed a bit of time off blogging to recuperate. The good thing is that the dark clouds are gone and I'm living life to the full again. During my time off I evaluated aspects of my life, including this blog. It has been so much fun blogging and engaging with you through comments and Twitter. However I wanted a change in what. What do you think?
