Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Art for Grandma's house. So my mom and dad recently moved to a new house and are taking their time in decorating the place. One thing Grandma REALLY wanted was grandkid artwork, so my sister and I got together and the kids painted some canvases. Since the ages range from 2 months to 5 years we kept the pieces similar by using the same size of canvas and paint colours for each one. Wednesday, December 21, 2011. I got a few pictures of our new little sweetie printed and followed this tutorial here. To mount them on canvases. I'm pretty pleased with how this one turned out, but am nervous to try the 11" x 14" one I printed too. This one is 8" x 8". I hope I didn't go overboard with the "antique-ing". Thursday, June 30, 2011. And here's the outcome! Thanks for the suggestions! I added about 10" to the length (may take a bit off, as it feels just too long). Does it need anything else? I have a small piece (about 12" x 30") of the teal left. Any ideas for me? I found this dress at Walmart for $9 yesterday. I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of this. I was in the hospital on bedrest for a few weeks, then another few weeks with our daughter Abigail Grace in the NICU after my c-section. She is doing well - already 4 months old! I've slowed down some with the knitting lately, as I'm finally feeling a little better this pregnancy - enough to get out more and do other things. But here are the last two finished items, which were waiting for buttons till last night. This is the dress I posted about. A while back - I chose the hearts fabric. I made a lovey for each of the boys their first Christmas too. Little sweater I knitted this summer fits now! And baby leggies out of girls' socks. Reversible wrap dress from a friend's pattern. I made the red bodysuit too. Warm furry boots for Abigail (based on a mccalls pattern, but many mods). An owl set for my friend Suzanne. Queen Anne's Lace scarf.

Thursday, June 2, 2011. Help me decide which fabric to use! I'm almost finished another little dress for baby Widgette (due in Sept). The pattern is robe d'été en tricot et liberty. This is the designer's version:. Here's my problem - I can't decide which of these two fabrics would be better for this dress. (Maybe I just need to do a second one!
