http://susanschwartzman.blogspot.com/2009/09/september-update.html
Thursday, September 03, 2009. I’ve launched a book blog today, Confessions of a Book Publicist, which takes you behind the scenes of the publishing business from the perspective of a book publicist. Just in time for the long, winter days comes a great mystery to curl up with: OVERKILL by Eugenia Lovett West (St. Martin’s Nov/Dec). If Jessica Fletcher from the TV hit series Murder She Wrote were a real-life character, she would be Eugenia Lovett West, who successfully launched her career as a myst...To br...

I'm Just Sayin': Will Terry on Doing Test (FREE) Illustrations for Jobs
http://stephanieolivieri.blogspot.com/2015/05/will-terry-on-doing-test-free.html
Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Will Terry on Doing Test (FREE) Illustrations for Jobs. Https:/ www.youtube.com/watch? I am posting this video today because I really like what my colleague-Will Terry has to say. Some artists get really upset with this kind of thing, but it's part of being an artist. In animation and illustration it is common and for the most part I don't mind doing a test image. 1 Do I have time to do a professional test? 2 Is this job worth it for me? https://bookpage.wordpress.com/2010/02/24/big-penfaulkner-news-for-a-nashville-writer
A blog from the editors of BookPage. Big PEN/Faulkner news for a Nashville writer. When the 2010 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction finalists were announced yesterday, the names were recognizable even predictable: Barbara Kingsolver, Lorrie Moore, Colson Whitehead and Sherman Alexie. But the fifth finalist, Lorraine M. López, nominated for Homicide Survivors Picnic and Other Stories. Stood out from the crowd. Is sure to get a lot of attention in the coming weeks and we couldn’t be happier for its gracious an...

I'm Just Sayin': February 2015
http://stephanieolivieri.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2015. No It's Hard Work. Yes it is possible to make 100% of your living as a creative-artist, writer, musician, actor, etc. You can do it. Hey everyone so this is a carryover from a discussion on FB about working as a writer and artist or one or the other. But these are the exceptions, not the rule. Wouldn't it be great if we all made money on our novels? This doesn't discourage me at all. Why? Because I know the truth about it and I don't do it for the money. I have been publish...

I'm Just Sayin': July 2015
http://stephanieolivieri.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 12, 2015. Sometimes social media can be difficult, mostly because people do a lot of things that they wouldn't do in an office or social event. Last week a long time FB friend deleted and blocked me, since I have known her for a while, I asked her why via email, and she said. "you posted about the confederate flag and. yadda yadda.". I replied "Nope that wasn't me, I never posted about it on my page or replied to a comment on someone else's.". Cyber bullying or stalking someone.
