Here’s a pic of the matter after everything was cleaned up. You can see the basement door and adjoining wall where the water was leaking in, and it did make it all the way to the carpet enough to soak the first foot or so. Today is one of those days where I woke up this morning and dreamed of one day renting my very own apartment.
