Wednesday, April 27, 2011. What a soggy Easter week! But we didn't let this stop us from enjoying it. Gehrig and I made an Easter egg tree and a bunny cake. His school and church egg hunt were both inside, but he didn't mind as he still got lots of chocolate! As rainy as it was, I looked at this as a cleansing. Easter represents the eternal life that Jesus gave to us. It's a new beginning, new life for all us Christians. This was my new beginning to enjoying the little things in life again! A blog by shea.

Sunday, June 26, 2011. Yankee vs Reds Game. We were fortunate to receive tickets to the Yankees vs. Reds game last week. John has a friend who works for the Yankees organization. Oddly enough, I was seated next to one of the owners of the Yankees! And the Yankees won, too! The only thing that would have made it better is if my favorite player, Derek Jeter had been playing. Saturday, May 14, 2011. Gran, Gehrig and I went to see the Pegasus Parade this year. I used to watch the parade with my mother and grandmother. It was a lot of fun to share this my child and mother. The weather was perfect. It was a gorgeous day! Gehrig liked the big balloons the best. Look forward to attending next year's. Our day with Big Red. The long awaited T-ball season began on May 7. Friday, August 17, 2012. Gehrig remained on the Sharks U6 team for the spring season. The coach, CJ Lennon, is just fantastic. I learned as much as Gehrig did. The Sharks started the season strong, but struggled at the end. I think we finished up 5-7. Gehrig played very well. He was second in scoring and did a great job defensively. Sunday, October 23, 2011. Yesterday we went to the Life Adventure Center in Versailles to go through Ky's largest corn maze! If you are not familiar with the LAC, you are missing something. It has a lot of neat educational programs for adults and children. The weather was beautiful and we had an awesome time! Saturday, October 8, 2011. The Sharks finally won their first game and Gehrig made a goal! Each game it's amazing how much the kids improve. They are becoming soccer players! Gehrig loves the zoo!

Thursday, August 25, 2011. More of the birthday party. For Gehrig's 5th party, we had a super hero in training party to assist Batman with fighting villians to recover Gehrig's birthday candles. Each friend made a mask, a bat shield and then completed physical training to earn their capes. Afterwards, we stomped the villians and brought all to have cake and ice cream.
