Confessions of a southern stitcher. 1 Stick Butter Room Temp. 2 C self rising flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1 teaspoon double strength vanilla. 1 C sweetened coconut. 1 C chopped pecans. 5 egg whites beaten to stiff peak. Combine butter and oil and beat well, add sugar beat well, add yolks and beat well. Combine flour and soda. Add to creamed mixture alternating with buttermilk.
