Not sure what happened to these pictures when I was posting about Chicago.but just had to share the beautiful ladies! Links to this post. The wonder women hit up cHiCaGo! What started off as a fun girls get-a-way initiated by Brandon as a surprise to Maggie, turned out to be a fun weekend trip to Chicago with my two besties! If so what's the secret?

Erin and Jason's Wedding 2014
http://www.smithrohls.com/smro.html
The weekend of our wedding is one of the most busy weeks for hotels in the city of Chicago. We were able to get 15 room blocks for $229/night at the Congress Plaza Hotel. Another option is Airbnb. In the city there are many great options at almost half the cost of many downtown hotels. The two of us have used Airbnb and can not express how perfect is was on our recent trip to San Francisco. Here’s a collection of some we think might be good to check out. Luxury Home (Sleeps 5). Modern 1 Bedroom (Sleeps 4).

Erin and Jason's Wedding 2014

Whether Detroit, Chicago, Paris or beyond Erin and Jason both marvel at the history of big cities. So a fitting location for the event is within the Prairie Avenue Historic District. The ceremony will take place outdoors at the Chicago Women's Park and Gardens at 4pm. The park contains Chicago's oldest home, The Clark House. After the ceremony the reception is a very short walk to The Glessner House. Which is right next door. The address is 1800 S. Prairie Ave. Chicago, IL 60616. Another option is Airbnb...

For dinner the first night, we went to Chinatown. It was pretty good. I don't care for conch. Didn't know that before the meal. The shrimp and scallops were very good though. The next morning we had time on our own before meeting up to go to the. Art Institute of Chicago. I did get some decent shots though I think. We'll see when I print them tomorrow.

Eccentric Planet: March 2008
http://eccentricplanet.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Where we've been lately. Wednesday, March 19, 2008. When a person dabbles in the professional music scene, and another person, to whom the first person is amorously connected, used to own a club and be a sound man, and when a person’s two children show distinct musical talent at, say, the drums and the guitar, then a person, if happening to pass through Memphis, really ought to go to Graceland. Don’t you agree? We started in the living room, with the 15 foot white sofa. We peeked into Elvis’s paren...

Eccentric Planet: October 2006
http://eccentricplanet.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Where we've been lately. Thursday, October 19, 2006. This small, charming hotel in the 8th arr. has a kind and friendly owner who gave us water and coffee and had our room made up early. It felt like the middle of the night to us, but in Paris, it was early afternoon. A cat jumped around on nearby tables and a little sparrow landed, cheekily, right on the edge of our bread basket, boldly nibbling on a baguette. After dinner, we peeked into Sacre Coeur. Micki showered, I downloaded pictures and checked me...

Eccentric Planet: February 2008
http://eccentricplanet.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Where we've been lately. Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Art, Rain, Jon Stewart, and the Hudson Cafeteria. Us, out on the town, not thinking about dogs at all. How did we get there? Exhausted from three intense days of activity, we were finally able to sleep in. By 11:00 am, however, I started to panic- we were wasting the day! I got up and fussed around, whining about how Ben should get up right away. At last, he did. How could he sleep with my nagging? We decided we did not. We turned around and went bac...

Eccentric Planet: Nerd Day: Valve and Microsoft
http://eccentricplanet.blogspot.com/2009/08/nerd-day-valve-and-microsoft.html
Where we've been lately. Wednesday, August 5, 2009. Nerd Day: Valve and Microsoft. When he cuts his hair and grows a goatee, Ben actually looks a lot like Gordon Freeman. Do you play Half Life? Do you sometimes find yourself wondering what Bill Gates was like in high school? Then you might just enjoy these pictures. Others may feel free to skip on to the next day, but Ben sure enjoyed Nerd Day, even though I've never once seen him with a pocket protector. And none too soon! Subscribe to: Post Comments (A...

Eccentric Planet: April 2008
http://eccentricplanet.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Where we've been lately. Friday, April 25, 2008. Royal Reds, the king of shrimp. We had them for dinner one evening, and as is usual when our family travels, we eat out a lot. Here are some of the highlights of our food-related adventures in Alabama. One evening, we went for seafood at Geno's Fresh Catch Grill, where we had oysters and fresh local crab. Afterwards, Emmett got dessert at the ice cream place a few doors down (everybody else was full). And thanks, Ann! Thursday, April 3, 2008. One day, we w...
