First session with Ruth | Staying Connected

I am the Vine, you are the branches. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. First session with Ruth. September 22, 2011. Tonight I met with Ruth Detweiller to talk about the idea of a blog focused on the subject of mental health. We talked about the topics Ruth wishes to cover in her blog, and how she sees them being organized. One of the ideas I introduced Ruth to was the concept of the permalink. 8212; a blog article’s permanent address. 8221; her ability to share. How to copy and paste.

I am the Vine, you are the branches. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. October 1, 2011. In my last post, I wrote about the need to make my clickable hypertext links more visible. To the reader; yet there is another type of link. That is invisible — the type made mentally in the reader’s mind. I’ve spent the past few days reading about intertextuality. Intertextuality is not new. Though it is common in postmodern television. It’s also present in poetry. Literary classics, and the bible.

Making the links obvious | Staying Connected

Today I showed my Dad the front page of the blog and he barely noticed the links. At one point he even asked me why some of the text was blue. I guess this just shows that Jakob Nielsen is right — fewer people notice links if the links are not blue and underlined. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. What would Martin Luther post today? | Staying Connected

http://connect.openpolitics.com/blog/2012/01/02/what-would-martin-luther-post-today

I am the Vine, you are the branches. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. What would Martin Luther post today? January 2, 2012. I recently read an article in the Economist magazine titled “ How Luther went viral. 8211; Five centuries before Facebook and the Arab spring, social media helped bring about the Reformation.”. Why this interests me. This is a subject I’ve been spending a lot of time on over the past 2 months because it brings together two of my interests:. I was a history. I went...
