Through the Material Mine: April 2012
http://materialmine.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 26, 2012. Do you see what I see? I was telling a couple of girlfriends that my husband's cousin's second daughter had a baby girl last week, and said I was surprised that she hadn't been named Barbara. One laughed, suggesting that this was a surprisingly egotistical thing for me to say. But the fact is, Barbaras run amok in my husband's family (as we do most places, being quite a lively bunch) and I was referring to this young woman's grandmother, not to myself. I had intended all along t...

Saturday, January 24, 2015. 2009 BOM UFO FINISHED! About our guild UFO challenge for this year. One of the UFO’s on my list is finally done! This quilt called “Calendar Kids”, was offered as a BOM quilt from a vendor at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show in 2009, that my dear friend Linda and I attended. . We also loved the vintage paper doll look of the kids and clothes in each block, as that was truly our own history having grown up in the 50’s and 60’s! 160; So, we both signed up for the BOM mailings! 160; ...

Monday, February 23, 2015. This month’s “Schnibble” Group. Project was an adorable mini Union Jack quilt by Fig Tree Co! I really love this design! 160; I had some Somerset fat quarters…. And a few others from my stash that I combined for this quilt! It was a slightly tedious block to put together. Mine certainly are not perfect in any way at all…. But I do love them all put together! I think the colors are going to look perfect with my summer decor later this year! Yogi is very excited to announce.

Aunt Polly's Porch: March 2014
http://auntpollysporch.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 25, 2014. This month’s Schnibble, Hook, was quite a challenge with all the bias edged triangles to keep from stretching! I used 2 charm packs from an older Moda collection called “Urban Couture”. And I was soooo happy to find enough of the green fabric from the collection on Etsy to buy for the background! I really love it when Carrie uses the leftover fabric bits for a scrappy pieced border! I found an even older piece of floral in my stash for the backing! Stars in the Meadow. So, I fou...
