I'm Just Visiting This Planet. This is Connie Knapp's on-line journal, containing periodic musings on my day-to-day life. The end of 2012. December 21 came and went, and the world is still here. But 2012 is nearly over. A time to look back and see what was accomplished, what was left undone, and what's next. I got my Medicare card, so Medicare is "next" for me. And I'm thinking about retiring, so that's another "next," but not until "next" year. Putting off the inevitable, I guess. I just need to do it.

Painting What Feels Right. Monday, March 30, 2015. 24x30x1.5", mixed media on canvas. So this one has something that hasn't appeared in a painting of mine before: Sewing things to the canvas. I found some strips of wood and sewed them to the surface using thick thread. I then put gel medium over the wood and thread on the front, and also coated the thread on the back so it would stay put.
