Musings of a Protestant: July 2008
http://connorhamilton.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Musings of a Protestant. Theological, philosophical, and historical thoughts from a homeschooled Christian high schooler. Thursday, July 31, 2008. Japan, Firebombing, and Nuclear Warfare. Reading Retribution: The Battle for Japan. Yes, more kamikaze. Here is the defense offered by the official USAAF post-war history of this bomber group, which probably gives the strongest argument in favor of incinerating civilians:. Yes, true- but my question is, should it have been our purpose to inflict unconditional,...

Musings of a Protestant. Theological, philosophical, and historical thoughts from a homeschooled Christian high schooler. Monday, March 16, 2009. Last school year I read and did a presentation on a book called Life of Pi. I thought about something this morning that was very convicting for me. Recently, in how many concrete ways have you expressed your faith. This was, as I said, a convicting thought. And it made me think of those sloths. We're such privileged people because we found it! There is plenty o...

Musings of a Protestant. Theological, philosophical, and historical thoughts from a homeschooled Christian high schooler. Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Trading Homo Sapiens for Homo Ignorans. This is something I posted in my academic blog, The Quintessence of Dust. And I figured I would post it here as well, since the topic is suited to Musings. The text I quote is The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism. By Anthony Keller, the pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, New York.

The Author's Corner: July 2008

Scribete per gloriam Dei. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Austrian firearms Mexican restaurants = Today. Seen it before on someone not in police uniform) and also rather cool, in retrospect. No, this is not a video of me driving. :-P I would hazard a good guess that this is, in fact, illegal, because the car does not appear to be on any kind of designated raceway. I don't, of course, endorse flouting the law or taking the obvious risks of going this fast. With that caveat:. Thursday, July 24, 2008. So when we ...
Though she be but little, she is fierce: July 2009

Though she be but little, she is fierce. Thursday, July 16, 2009. I plan on entering these three photos to A High School Visual Arts Exhibition in Merriam, Ks. Problem, all three need a name. Now, I can take fairly decent photographs, but I can NOT name them. That's where you guys come in. Come up with a name for one or all three of the following photos, and post it in the comment box. (I thought about a prize for the winner, but I couldn't come up with anything.). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
The Author's Corner: Troy: Bending the Past to the Modern Vision
http://angulusauctoris.blogspot.com/2009/07/troy-bending-past-to-modern-vision.html
Scribete per gloriam Dei. Friday, July 3, 2009. Troy: Bending the Past to the Modern Vision. My comments are occasioned by the film Troy. The director has the right to make any kind of movie he wants, even if it is a butchery of Greek epic, but that does not stop Troy. That looks cool. Ancient battle woad on a 13th-century Scot? Nobody checks up on that stuff anyway. Godless Greeks? I suppose that some people might argue, who cares if it makes for a fun movie? Naturally I agree completely! I didnt think ...

Scribete per gloriam Dei. Monday, March 23, 2009. Lithesome Protagonists and Goggling Extras. Sorry for not having updated in a rather long time, but I haven't been able to either think of or work up the gumption for a suitable post. I suppose I'll just make this one broad of topic and treat on some of the various happenings of mea vita. :-). I watched the movie Godzilla. Yesterday: the 1998 Roland Emmerich remake. I shall be sure to review it on Tolle. As soon as revitalize the bally thing (sorry David!

Scribete per gloriam Dei. Monday, March 2, 2009. After the Long Wait, so long that I had a good while since forgotten to even worry about it, I discovered today that I'm a National Merit Finalist. Sweet! I also translated a small bit of the Domesday Book. Oh, yeah, and I finished Kiriana . D 418 pages, although editing may either lengthen or shrink it slightly (depending on whether winnowing the chaff or patching the gaps ultimately wins out). March 2, 2009 at 3:36 PM. Good goin' on your book! Fun, Inter...

Scribete per gloriam Dei. Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Back At Last - My Doings, and the Eastern Front. Well, well, here I am again! It turns out that my parents flew him down without my knowledge, expressly to celebrate my graduation. Needless to say, that was an extremely pleasant surprise. I also received two books from Robert ( Moscow 1941. By Rodric Braithwaite and No Man is an Island. June 16, 2009 at 7:38 PM. June 16, 2009 at 7:38 PM. June 16, 2009 at 9:46 PM. The People's Republic of Bob: Sullivan on Obama
http://bacchusthad.blogspot.com/2007/11/sullivan-on-obama.html
The People's Republic of Bob. Sunday, November 18, 2007. I read over most of this article. Today while at Barnes and Noble, and found it very interesting. According to Sullivan, Obama is the only candidate who will not polarize voters along lines drawn in the 1960s and growing ever more acrimonious. Let me know what you think . 8220;Vanitas Vanitatis”. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Ted Kennedy: last words on health care. Humanities’ Horse-Latitudes: will the real culprit please stand up? November 22, 2009. I was perusing the venerable publication. Anyway, here’s the spotlighted article. Here’s the gist of Chace’s argument: we all know that the humanities have lost tremendous ground since mid-century, and largely it has been stampeded and squatted upon by the thugs of Business (alias the Dread Negozioid! Instead of defaulti...

Welcome to my updated website! I am almost 20 months old now, so most of the pictures from my first album are from a LONG time ago. I have been growing up and learning lots of new things. I can say lots of words, I have loads of teeth, and not only can I walk now. I can RUN! I like to play with cars a lot, or anything with wheels for that matter. My favorite movie is .CARS by Walt-Disney. I like going to the park and playing on the swings and slides. Here is a video of me having fun with my Aunt Regina.

August 4, 2008. First Trip to FunLand. You would think little red fire engines would be innocent enough. They were not - the pictures do not show the true speed, but you can try to imagine by seeing Connor's extreme concentration and looking at the utter fear in his eyes. The carousel was more his speed this year. August 3, 2008. Weekend Trip to Rehobeth. July 24, 2008. Could there be any more perfect symbol of summer than the first popsicle? July 4, 2008. Spalding's West Shore (Vermont). May 26, 2008.

Life through my eyes. on paper. Monday, January 25, 2010. Hey there blog, I haven't seen you in awhile. oh wait that's me that's been gone. Oh well, I'll buy you a drink later. KC was pretty nice. It was my first to be there and I still haven't seen it all. Not because of the size of the city but because of the immense fog that covered the city. I really don't have plans on seeing the city again anytime soon. Monday, December 7, 2009. The holidays are just around the corner, I really don't consider Thank...
