January 21st - June 1st 2013. Heathrow (21:15) – Muscat. Muscat (10:10) – Kathmandu. Kathmandu– Tomlingtar (20 hour journey). Tomlingtar– Khandban (1 hour journey). Khandban – Yahpu (2 Day journey). The charity work in the school begins in Yahpu and we stay in the village for 2 weeks teaching sport and English, living with the families out there. Yahpu – Khandban (2 Day journey). Khandban - Tomlingtar (1 hour journey). Tomlingtar- Kathmandu (20 hour journey). Kolkata (09:15) – Bangkok (13:20).

Day 113 - 115 (Chang Mai). So after having a short time in Laos, but let me add the most amazing time, it was time to head over to Thailand, the famous Thailand! Chloe and Maddie stayed in Laos for one more day due to visa's and the rest of us left. Well 10 of us or so anyway, it was all very last minute and it was all my fault but I don't regret it at all haha, but hey that's what travelling is about right? Day 52 - 54 (Udaipur 007). So from catching our 2am train from Bundi (only 20mins late Bonus! We were on our way to Udaipur! Catching very little sleep we arrived and headed straight to Lake Shore (a hotel recommended by Andy). Straight away the city was appealing, peaceful and quieter than that of other cities! So after only a couple nights at Chang Mai which was a shame as its such a beautiful place, but remember on a time scale there's priorities you have to make, do what you what to do! So my plan was to head south to the islands while Chloe an Maddie wanted to do the north. This is where we departed after 4months of being together. Wednesday, January 18, 2012. And there was darkness, and it was almost as good. As I sit here in the electricity deprived darkness of my bedroom, taking care of my 7 month old child as my wife scoops the snow off of our sidewalk, I find myself wondering what it is, exactly, that we did as kids during blackouts instead of tinkering on battery powered electronic devices.
