Connor’s House was founded in 2009 in memory of Connor Scott Millard, a spunky 8 year old boy with significant medical and developmental challenges, whose strong desire to live a normal life caused all involved in his care to push the envelope of current treatment in order to allow him to live at home as much as possible. Connor’s House ceased operations in August 2016. We are grateful to all of the families who allowed us to walk alongside them and to our donors who made it possible.

When we would get close to home he would be so super excited that honestly the car itself would be vibrating with his joy. Each time the car came around that bend in the road close to home he’d cry out with glee, Connor’s House! Connor loved lying on his spot on the couch with his service dog Casey. The two would cuddle together and enjoy being the best of friends. He couldn’t wait to be able to help Mama bake cookie, or work with Papa to create things in the workshop. Connor’s Papa and Mama.

Raising Mito Awareness all week long! Monday, September 24, 2012. Our trip to the Oregon Coast! Mito Awareness Week has officially ended. I know, I know, I never did get to a post here, I started on one many times. its shameful really, compared to last years several posts during this very important week. It seems I'm on Facebook more these days as its so much easier using my iPhone when life gets too busy for anything else. I did create many Awareness Photos, including info and sharing. I wish they did.

Heart . . . ache. Monday, June 25, 2012. This was just one of the several Dr. visits we've made in the pass 6 weeks, which included a Mito, Nutritionist, Pulmonologist, Ped, Cardiology and GI appt. Jack has been experiencing chest pain and rapid heart rate episodes. His O2 Sats also drop during these episodes. So far we have'nt been able to explain whats causing this. His Heart Rate is'nt terribly fast, I've only caught it as high as 150's. Mito Dr. 6 month Follow-Up. But basically really NOTHING NEW.
