The Hamilton Herd: February 2009
http://thehamiltonherd.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Ah, much better! Though perhaps not incredibly visible on screen, what you see are the beginnings of bluebonnet flowers. The plants themselves are doing quite nicely since the seeds have been sitting in the beds all through the fall and what there is of winter. They're beginning to blue up a bit more in the past few days, and it's one of the few places where feeling blue is a good thing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Where the Buffalo Roam. The Hamilton Herd: July 2012
http://thehamiltonherd.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
So, I sat again. We got rain lately, and most of this year. Blog post elsewhere said that we had more rain in a couple of days than in the first hundred and twenty or so days of last year. I believe it! A few hot days so far, but the clouds have been keeping them in check lately. Conrad graduated, Karen's closer (I assume). Everybody's glad to be having summer. Yellowstone awaits, in less than a week. Yay! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Where the Buffalo Roam. Thanks to Wood Badge. So, I sat again.

The Hamilton Herd: January 2012
http://thehamiltonherd.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
It's good to be involved and occupied, but it's also good to have time to sit and rest, review and reflect. Today's been a bit of both. Past few weeks have been just too much running without enough resting. Have to keep the balance. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Where the Buffalo Roam. Thanks to Wood Badge. The Hamilton Herd: Almost 2012
http://thehamiltonherd.blogspot.com/2011/12/almost-2012.html
Hmm in the last few months. We've had some rain - we still need more. Conrad made region mixed choir. Karen finished another semester at BYU-Idaho. Anne got a B in Biology. Braces are a way of life (for both Anne and Addie). Conrad made it as an alternate for area auditions (in about a week). We've had a great Christmas. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Hamilton Herd: It's been a heckuva ride
http://thehamiltonherd.blogspot.com/2010/11/its-been-heckuva-ride.html
It's been a heckuva ride. In just a couple of days, it'll have been two years, and I'll no longer be the District Commissioner. I know of others who've done this job for many years, and my hat is definitely off to them. I've had other positions where it was easy enough to keep plugging along year after year, but this one wasn't it for me. It will, however, be a good thing to have fewer meetings and absolute commitments. The family needs more time. Perhaps we'll go camping. Where the Buffalo Roam. Its bee...

The Hamilton Herd: September 2011
http://thehamiltonherd.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
We really need some rain. So, we've had a really hot and dry summer and trees are starting to show it. The brown that doesn't normally come until late November is here. Dead leaves are everywhere - and it's not due to the changing season - it's because the trees are stressed and many are dead (or almost there). Here's yesterday's report. On our horrible summer. Join us as we pray for rain. and cooler temperatures. The family history blog got updated today as well. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Hamilton Herd: March 2011
http://thehamiltonherd.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
So today I've begun the job of updating my family history blog (Comings and Crossings). new background, new links (since Geocities is no more). That's what happens when we start having family discussions about "What did your [insert relative's name here] do for a living? Did [insert relative's name] ever go to college?
