A few months ago, Deb, Alicia and I decided to sign up as a relay team for the Smith Mountain Lake Sprint Triathlon. Backing up a few weeks.at first I thought.1/2 mile swim, 20K bike, and 5K run? No sweat, I can handle all of that on my own.sign me up! Needless to say, I failed the "assessment" miserably, because I just really don't know how to breathe correctly when swimming free style. Deb obviously chose one for us late ...

The only one for me is you, and you for me. Friday, October 31, 2008. Getting into the spirit! Last night was pumpkin carving night. Ralph had a "mouse house" pumpkin idea in mind that he saw in a magazine, and I, as usual was Mrs. Traditional. Sadie, as it turns out, loves to eat pumpkin. Guts But I don't know what that surprises me because this is a dog that will eat lettuce if I give it to her. Anyway, we had a blast and are looking forward to all the Trick-or-Treaters tonight! Saturday, November 22, 2008. The Tragic Price of POOR Choices. A colleague just sent me an email with the following article attached. My mouth literally. Dropped open as I read through the article and found that 5 of these ten individuals arrested were students that I worked with at Westfield High School from 2002-2006. I KNEW these kids! I should be fired! Http:/ www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/. December 2, 2008 at 11:21 AM. December 6, 2008 at 12:06 PM. Tuesday, November 18, 2008. A Little Mexican Fiesta. Last night we made authentic Mexican cuisine, with the help of Scott Porter. We made two types of salsa.one that would make anyone breathe fire, except for Scott! We also made homemade corn tortillas, guacamole, carne asada, chicken, chili and lime soup (an interested experiment), refried black beans, and plantains for dessert. I love cooking! It makes me so happy every time! Here are a few pics! The King of Red Chilis. Thursday, June 5, 2008. Home for Hayley and Sam's Birthdays. This Memorial Day weekend, in stead of the annual excursion down to Duck, NC, I decided to fly home to Chicago to spend a little QT with my sisters and parents.and most of all, the nieces and nephews. Hose to spend that w. Meeting my newest nephew, Devin Abraham, and participating in the birthday parties of Sam (6) and Hailey (4). As usual, I had such a great time with the kids, Beth and Emily and their spouses, and mom and dad!

Did I mention I was exhausted and just wanted to get my pregnant butt home and in bed? And it smells like curry in this stinkin (literally) airport, which happens to be Atlanta. At least if I was going on vacation I'd know there was no work in the near future. But alas, that is not the case. Tomorrow is a new day of new meetings, only not from the Hills of Tennessee, but the Hills of Home Sweet Roanoke. My wonde...

I have to say that I love those months every year between January and April when the stores start selling these delicious confections. I seriously have to have mini-talks with myself so that I do not eat a dozen of these every day. Luckily they come in those handy 4 packs so I have no choice but to ration them during the week. Thank you Cadbury, thank you.

In our town, the AAA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox has a team. They are the Salem Red Sox, and the stadium is literally 2 minutes from our house. Friday the weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold and Cameron was a good boy all throughout the game! All in all, we had a fun, family night out and can't wait to do it again. Claussen's at the game!
