The Skinny on the Poopy. The Most Basic of Basics (Cloth Diapering 101! There are many different styles of diapers nowadays. They all have two very basic things in common:. 1 An absorbent part. 2 A waterproof part. The main styles of diapers in order from cheapest and least convenient (mostly) to the most expensive and most convenient (mostly) are:. 1 Flats, Prefolds, or Contours with a Cover. 2 Fitteds with a Cover. 3b All in Twos (AI2s). 4 All In Ones (AIOs). 1 Flats, Prefolds, or Contours with a Cover.
