Objective What's in the Box. How the Process Works. Objective of the Constructive Science Project:. For the whole class to produce:. A complete house structure with 4 walls, 4 windows and 2 doors. An attached roof Internal working lights External water drainage system. To test the sub-assemblies and the finished house and record their observations, making any changes to the sub-assemblies to complete the tests. To work out how much the house has cost to build. It is designed for up to 36 pupils.

The finished product is a good quality model house made of beech blocks. Once the electrical and drainage boards have been placed on top of the house walls (with the roof placed on top of this) and the relevant tests have been completed at Construction Stage, these two boards can be removed. All the sparkies and drainage system materials can then be re-used. The model is theirs to use how they like. Some ideas for how the house structure can be re-used are:. Build a garden around it.
