August 7, 2015. As some may already know, Christopher A. Smith, Boston Metro Opera’s General Director and Interim Director of the ContempoFestival, will be leaving us at the end of the summer. To say he will be missed would be an understatement. He is irreplaceable. Therefore, after careful consideration, Boston Metro Opera’s Board of Directors has voted to indefinitely suspend all operations, effective as of August 31, 2015.
