So many things to do...: November 2010
http://contrarycolleen.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
So many things to do. Monday, November 22, 2010. Well, at long last the little one has arrived. He's a month old now, and at the risk of sounding cliche, motherhood is infinitely more rewarding and. Challenging than I had ever expected. He's adorable.bright-eyed, cuddly, already smiling and extraordinarily gifted at exhausting me.as babies tend to be. I'm totally in love. I know it won't be long before he's squirming away when I try to hold him, but oh! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
So many things to do...: Another project completed!

So many things to do. Sunday, January 16, 2011. If there's one thing I've learned by being a new mom, its that free time is a precious commodity. Before the LO arrived, I had oodles of free time and I'd fritter it away watching TV, surfing the net and doing generally nothing worthwhile. Now I value that time so much that I make good use of every moment. I'm actually.get this.*finishing* projects. Um.wow. I love the way it turned out and I must give a shout out to Gypsy Junk. So many things to do. Sunday, February 13, 2011. Today, I'm sad to say, is my last day of maternity leave. I've had 4 and half months, 3 and a half of which have been with my wee one. I've got a new job that I'm excited for, but my heart is breaking. I don't have much to say other than that. I'm going to make the most of today. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). So many things to do. Monday, January 5, 2009. For the love of dogs. A very special friend of mine passed away yesterday, a pretty dog named Twist who I've been blessed with having in my life for over 13 years. A friend of mine emailed me this link. And I think it's just the perfect thing. If you are lucky enough to have a dog, please remember to hug them today or take them for a nice walk and be grateful at how much dogs make the world a better place. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). So many things to do. Sunday, November 16, 2008. Thursday, November 13, 2008. I'm thinking of going through Dell again. Hopefully the Lich King will not keep me too occupied to keep working on my endless projects! I'm really on a mission to have the rest of the interior of the house painted by new years. I want it all off my to-do list! Wednesday, November 5, 2008. Progress in the bedroom. Oh, honestly. You guys really do have one track minds! The progress I speak of is in regards to painting, silly!

http://seamstrixart.blogspot.com/2008/02/3-months.html
Bits and pieces of my life as a stay-at-home mom and textile fanatic. Sunday, February 3, 2008. I woke up Friday morning with an insane amount of energy - or was that just the normal amount I haven't felt in a while? In any case, I do believe I've hit my second trimester and besides having to pee every five minutes I'm feeling great. I even managed to clean house AND shampoo the carpet today. Well, okay, only the dining room carpet. Huzzah for the glory trimester! February 4, 2008 at 8:38 AM. I am a marr...

http://seamstrixart.blogspot.com/2009/03/loss-joy-freedom-and-grace.html
Bits and pieces of my life as a stay-at-home mom and textile fanatic. Sunday, March 15, 2009. Loss, Joy, Freedom and Grace. I can thank my husband for introducing me to Dead Can Dance. The second time we ever met. He was playing the Toward the Within. Album in the apartment and I believe I had to cut a conversation mid-sentence to ask who we were listening to. When I borrowed the CD, I quickly became fond of [not only the entire album, but] one song in particular. Sanvean. March 31, 2009 at 7:51 AM.

Bits and pieces of my life as a stay-at-home mom and textile fanatic. Thursday, May 1, 2008. Sorry, dozed off for a bit. It happens. I haven't felt too chatty lately but I have done a lot of knitting and spinning. Here's what I've been up to:. The Eesti Trail Hiking Socks I started waaaay back for my husband are DONE! He loves them. I need to make more. And then, of course, Vera.what has become of her? The hat only takes 3 weekdays to make if I don't put it down and forget about it. Are, well, one mitten...
Seamstrix: Socks for the 1ft Feet
http://seamstrixart.blogspot.com/2007/10/socks-for-1ft-feet.html
Bits and pieces of my life as a stay-at-home mom and textile fanatic. Thursday, October 11, 2007. Socks for the 1ft Feet. I have some yarn I collected when I was learning to knit that I'm just not that interested in anymore. I have managed to give away some of these acrylic and novelty yarns that I just KNEW I wouldn't use but kept a few of the better ones on hand just in case. And now that I've learned to spin my own yarn, I really need to make room! So now I start my stash reduction:. I am a married mo...

Bits and pieces of my life as a stay-at-home mom and textile fanatic. Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Giving it a shot. I'm going for a walk. Maybe I'll jog, maybe I won't. I just can't believe how much time it took for me to find something to wear without feeling like I'm in a sausage casing or a potato sack! I hate having a postpartum body.it takes sooo long to feel normal again. Once you commit yourself to going on a regular basis your mind and body will thank you for it. March 17, 2009 at 10:46 AM. Seamstrix: I Think I May See a Tattoo in My Future

Bits and pieces of my life as a stay-at-home mom and textile fanatic. Tuesday, September 22, 2009. I Think I May See a Tattoo in My Future. I've never been one to seriously consider getting a tattoo. I always admire them on other people but would never be so brave myself. The first thing that comes to mind is, "what will that look like when I'm 80 years old? Well, considering there's a good chance I'll soon end up with a scar like this:. I may as well make it pretty. September 23, 2009 at 6:25 AM. At 80 ...
Seamstrix: I *heart* Progress
http://seamstrixart.blogspot.com/2008/03/i-heart-progress.html
Bits and pieces of my life as a stay-at-home mom and textile fanatic. Monday, March 3, 2008. Since finishing the collar and all the required knitting on the duster, I put the project down for a while to work on a couple other things. Remember those hiking socks I started for the husband? Ouch) Though he no longer tries to put his hands on the wheel, he still wants to help me treadle. All in all, I think I got a lot done over the last few days. March 3, 2008 at 8:30 AM. My second project for stash reduction is the " Cabled Rangoli Hat. One of my friends. Woohoo, that's me the friend, and woohoo, it's your 30th birthday! Musings on life, it's joys, frustrations, and amusements. Monday, September 29, 2014. As a teacher I proctored my share of standardized tests. I walked around my third grade classroom making sure that everyone was on the right page, not writing in the test booklet, and not skipping any questions. Strolling around the room I could clearly see students marking wrong answers to questions they knew. How discouraging to watch competent students make careless mistakes! Thursday, April 3, 2014. At first glance ...
