https://adbenturerainjapan.wordpress.com/2012/02/18/kitanocho-kobe
What can you find here. February 18, 2012. Go out of the Central Gate and you’ll see a statue at the plaza on the left side of the street. I made a little detour on a busy street on the left not following the instruction given by the staff to look for the Docomo shop near McDonald’s. After realizing that I made a wrong turn I went back to plaza with the statue and found the Docomo Shop. Made a right turn after the shop and Kitanocho is up ahead. The metal rooster at the top of the house does more than to...

What can you find here. Hitting two birds in one stone. October 23, 2013. Kyoto is my favorite place to visit in Kansai. I’ve been to the city five times in the past 2 years, the most recent was last month. I have seen most of the touristy spots of the city during my previous visits so I decided to do something different. I started my day by renting a kimono from Yumeyakata. I had Yudofu set for lunch and felt guilty for not finishing the tofu. Wearing a kimono while eating was no joke! My workshop is sc...

What can you find here. May 4, 2012. Kofukuji was the last destination of my trip to Nara last January. After visiting Nigatsudo. I finally looked for the five-storey pagoda and ended up in Kofukuji. At the back of the Southern Octagonal Hall, you can find another pagoda but it is only three storeys tall. Before you...

What can you find here. September 14, 2013. Kitkat from Hokkaido, Shinshu apple from Nagano, among others. Here. Is a list of regional special edition flavors in Japanese. I bought 3 flavors in Kyoto 2 years ago, the Uji Matcha, Roasted Hojicha, and Cinnamon. Uji matcha has thicker taste than the regular matcha available mostly everywhere. Hojicha and Cinnamon didn’t leave a deep impression compared to Uji matcha. I’ve tasted the Shinshu apple flavor which smelled sweetly like apples! I also came across ...
