Ramblings after work: Adventures in Retail: December 2007

Ramblings after work: Adventures in Retail. Musings of a college student working her way through life. Tuesday, December 25, 2007. I don't like to cry. I especially don't like to cry in public. There's something so humiliating about putting yourself out there like that. There's something shameful in being honest about your emotions with other people. I don't know why, but that's the way it is. I can remember several moments that I've cried in public:. In fifth grade, when I had a 103 degree fever. But th...

http://kristinmbeck.blogspot.com/2008/01/assholes.html
Ramblings after work: Adventures in Retail. Musings of a college student working her way through life. Saturday, January 19, 2008. Do you give any sort of discounts? I guessed he was in his mid fifties. He was balding and had a beer belly that stuck out from his tight tshirt that he had left over from his college years. Any sort of military discounts? No No discounts," I said and faked a laugh. God, I hate people like him. Do you speak English? He asked me. "Yes, no? I stared blankly at him. And so am I.

mind your music: Kevin Devine
http://mindyourmusicblog.blogspot.com/2008/02/kevin-devine.html
Thursday, February 7, 2008. Dave Elkins of Mae, Kevin Devine with The Jealous Girlfriends. Friday, February 1, 2008. Love Politics. Kevin Devine. Acoustics all around, Kevin Devine mastered the stage, playing a lengthy set of songs. He even did some songs "full band" version, with help from The Jealous Girlfriends. A fun, retro band from Brooklyn). I wasn't expecting Dave Elkins, guitarist and lead singer of Mae. Well, at least this show was quite the serenade. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

mind your music: February 2008
http://mindyourmusicblog.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 19, 2008. Monday, February 18, 2008. I remember the last time that Vanna. Came to Tampa. It was nearly two years ago at with Austrailian hardcore band Parkway Drive. I think there may have been 10 people at the show. Maybe. There were quite a bit more people this time, since the release of Vanna's newest album, Curses. I still like their old album, The Search Party that Never Came. The lyrics are bloody. The music is hard. Which makes for a happy Kristin. Tuesday, February 12, 2008.

Ramblings after work: Adventures in Retail. Musings of a college student working her way through life. Sunday, November 25, 2007. A job interview, or two. I want a laid-back job. Not one where I have to dress up, take out my piercing, brush my hair or take a shower. You get the picture. I just want to be, well, me. I applied at Zumiez. A while back. Do I skateboard? No Do I wear their clothes? Nope But this place seemed like it has a pretty chill environment. TOO BAD THEY NEVER CALLED ME. Profanities cou...
