conversation on conservation

This is a space for my rather frequent nature-related rants, rambles and link-sharing. Every now and then, there are things that frustrate me and what bothers me more is that they don't frustrate others. On a lighter note, every now and then, there are things that inspire me that I want to share with others. So I guess that means the point of this blog is either to frustrate or inspire you :) (my apologies for occasional fundamentalism)

Life, Times and Japanese Whaling. It's time to post again! I just need something to keep me motivated and excited to keep up with the work and notes.we'll see. Speaking of like-minded people, I mention them quite a bit, but I've got to add in a little shout out to Kyran and Nick and I want to give them a bit more than a couple of little 'by the way' lines in random blog posts. I cannot stress enough that I'm so. Links to this post. Sky to Ground 3: Sonamarg. And Sky to Ground 2. The place itself is beaut...

conversation on conservation: Holes to Heaven

http://conversationonconservation.blogspot.com/2011/12/holes-to-heaven.html

Some pictures and anecdotes from my trip to the Andaman Islands. We were first based in Port Blair, around which we did some exploring. Sunset at Chidiya Tapu (Bird Island - it did give me some sightings of an Andaman Cuckoo Dove and Red-breastd Parakeet). Boat weaving through mangroves to get to the limestone caves at Baratang. View from the sea plane we took from Port Blair to Havelock Island. Note the different eye colour to the one below. Little baby one next to the beach shower. Also I made a point ...

conversation on conservation: Watch This Space

http://conversationonconservation.blogspot.com/2013/02/watch-this-space.html

Lately it seems like blogging has become the hardest thing in the world for me to get down to and complete (yes I realise that in the context of this blog, lately means over a year since the last post). I'll avoid being a target for my sister's teasing and control the urge to ramble about why I've been so absent and just say that there's some really exciting stuff coming soon so watch this space! Ok I'm back and have decided I must re-commit to this blog. Exams and first semester are over, not sure how it all went but I'll wait for the results to come out and not worry about it for now :S. Appreciating nature and science? Haha, jokes, it's actually all just a result of me having far too much spare time :) So let's get back to business. And it's impact on marine life. The latest article hasn't got the most encouraging title - " world's oceans in shocking decline. What was he complaining about?

A Conversation of Confessions

Wednesday, February 16, 2011. That I am reminiscing on this blog and our friendship instead of paying attention in Stats class. What a crazy friendship we've had! Who would have thought that we'd still be friends? I'm so glad we still are. I still remember that first week of Second Grade when I didn't see you at all because you were on vacation and I was so sad! And now we're both at colleges with the word "western" in them! That is all :) Now back to stats. Saturday, September 19, 2009. Yesterday, we we...
