ShutUpJustTravel: April 2012
http://shutupjusttravel.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 19, 2012. I'm sat in an internet cafe surrounded by kids playing World of Warcraft wasting time before my flight back to Japan. This is the end of the little trip which has been fun. I got back to Malaysia last night content at seeing a brief glimpse of an interesting little country. I've walked down streets here that have Hindu temples, Buddhist temples, Mosques and Churches. All on one street and everybody's fine about it. How do you do that, Malaysia? I'll be back in Tokyo tonight hope...

ShutUpJustTravel: Tomakomai
http://shutupjusttravel.blogspot.com/2012/08/tomakomai.html
Monday, August 6, 2012. Apparently there`s some sort of big sporting event currently going on in London and apparently GB are doing pretty well. And, apparently, i`ve chosen this time to be cycling round Hokkaido with a tent. You`re not even reading this are you? You`re watching judo or table tennis or something. He asked. "Is it spiritual enlightenment? I didn`t really have the heart to say, "Erm, i`m avoiding work, responsibilty and joining the human race for as long as i can get away with it.". The ne...

ShutUpJustTravel: Hakodate
http://shutupjusttravel.blogspot.com/2012/09/hakodate.html
Thursday, September 13, 2012. Hakodate was the start of this little peddle around Hokkaido and now it`s the end. But last week i was in a different city. And camping itself had got a little tiresome. I`d gone through what i`ve subsequently called the Three Stages of Over-Camping. Stage One: You think to yourself, "I`d love to sleep in a bed." Thoughts of duvets and pillows and blankets occupy your mind at sunset. Keep moving. See you soon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

ShutUpJustTravel: Mount Fuji
http://shutupjusttravel.blogspot.com/2012/07/mount-fuji.html
Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Did he get lost? My phone rang. “Hey, Dave’s right here. I’m looking at him. You wanna speak to him? Fortunately, Monday was a national holiday and this week is the end of term and the end of another work contract teaching English. I’m heading to Hokkaido for six weeks at the end of July with a bike, a tent, a map and, hopefully, more luck than last weekend. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

ShutUpJustTravel: September 2011
http://shutupjusttravel.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 22, 2011. Living somewhere foreign gives you a bit of twisted perspective of the world. Everything is a first. Every week makes you feel like a child again reading “My First” books. My first sake, my first bullet train, my first sushi, my first sumo, my first washing machine museum. Yesterday was My First Typhoon. I looked up and down the train and saw people sighing, their body language saying, “This is rubbish” not “Shit! I found a seat, read a few chapters and got some sleep.

ShutUpJustTravel: June 2013
http://shutupjusttravel.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Tokyo and Mount Oyama. It’s been a while since i wrote anything on here and there’s a pretty good reason for that; i haven’t done any travelling. However, last month i managed to leave Tokyo for the first time since last September when i finished peddling around Hokkaido. I’ve met a variety of people in a different teaching gig which is just one-to-one conversation classes who provide me with excellent research for the other blog i’ve been playing around with ( http:/.

ShutUpJustTravel: August 2011
http://shutupjusttravel.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 21, 2011. I was sat in an internet cafe in Hokkaido when i last wrote but i’m now safely cocooned back near the throbbing mass of Tokyo after travelling back from the north and going back to work. Wednesday, August 10, 2011. I`m in Hokkaido on holiday. I`ve got ten days off work and a cheap train ticket that allows unlimited travel on trains anywhere in Japan for any five days in summer. The only catch is that you can only get local trains so it takes hours and hours to get anywhere. Yeste...
