Cookbook Curator's Blog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Laquo; Welcome to my Blog! America’s Most Wanted Recipes: Secret Recipes from Your Family’s Favorite Restaurants by Ron Douglas. Okay, I’m totally going to cheat on my first recipe selection. It requires no cooking, only the toasting of pita bread. Truth be told, it’s not even necessary. Living in New Jersey we have fabulous tomatoes so why not take advantage of the summer’s best crop! Toasted Pita Salad – Cooking Light Magazine August 2009.

Tuffimom's Quilts: August 2012
http://tuffimomsquilts.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Have been noticing a fashion trend that warms the Scottish part of my heart- lots and lots of plaids! Have petted bolts and bolts of various plaids in the quilt and fabric shops I've visited lately, along with racks and racks of clothing. And your favorite pooch can even sport plaid! In the spirit of not being last-minute this Christmas, I made a boatload of table runners, you guessed it, with Christmas plaids! Monday, August 13, 2012. Wooly Wishes August BOM Posted! Hope you'll...

Sunday, October 13, 2013. Curly Top In Autumn. Seems I make many apologies for being late in posting the blocks each month, but sometimes life has different plans for you. As you know, I made Curly Top because I lost all my hair during chemotherapy. Then, I had surgery and radiation, which wiped me out. And then the emergency surgery, but that's a story for another time. So, here's the block for September, The Apple of Curly Top's Eye found on Ewes Quilting. Did you ever take an apple to the teacher?

Tuffimom's Quilts: May 2014
http://tuffimomsquilts.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 29, 2014. How was your winter this year? Winter in our part of the world, namely South Jersey, was quite snowy and cold. Our daughter had six snow days! Of course, this was the year the school decided not to include any snow days in the calendar, so she will be graduating 8th grade at the end of June. I love snow days! Over the years, I have realized that one should never discuss religion, politics or love of snow in public settings- people have very, very. Strong opinions on those topics!
Tuffimom's Quilts: June 2014

Monday, June 30, 2014. This fabric is not what the average quilter looks for in the store.it is shiny.and slippery.and not cotton. Our younger daughter saw this fabric and fell head-over-heels in love with it. The conversation went something like this. Mommy, I love this fabric! Will you please, please make me a dress? Honey, I am not a dress maker.". No one else would have a dress like this and it is beautiful! I could wear it for graduation.". She runs to yet another fabric and wraps it around herself.
Tuffimom's Quilts: November 2012
http://tuffimomsquilts.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 18, 2012. It's Been Too Long. Certainly had quite a difficult time getting into my blog this morning! Seems if you don't post in a while, Google rebels a bit and makes signing-in a lovely mess! I have a good reason for not posting in a while and wanted to explain. In September, I was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma. But, I know it could be so much worse! The Curly Top on the tractor holds a special memory for me! The summer after high school, I worked maintenance at my Dad's of...

Monday, April 30, 2012. A Quilter's Highest Compliment. In 1999, my dear husband and I were expecting our second baby in October, while my dear friend was expecting her first. In fact, we were due a day apart! Well, we welcomed two little bundles into the world that October: our Sarah arrived 17 days early and Ethan three weeks after that. Apparently, due dates are not an exact science. Anyway, I was given the highest of compliments and was asked to be Ethan's godmother! Take a minute to click on the pic...
Tuffimom's Quilts: January 2013
http://tuffimomsquilts.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 27, 2013. Wow, 2013 is certainly flying by! So sorry to wish all of you well in the coming year so late in the month, but I hope all of you enjoy good health and happiness! I've been very busy with my chemo, going once a week until the end of March. To keep myself occupied during my sessions, I've been trying my hand at a few new things. Of course, I had to rip it out at least six times, but I finished it! Then, I tried my hand a knitting with regular yarn. Making this bag was exciting- t...

http://tuffimomsquilts.blogspot.com/2014/04/curly-top-finishing-instructions-are-up.html
Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Curly Top Finishing Instructions Are Up. My web master, also known as my darling husband, has put the last installment of Curly Top up- the finishing instructions! You can get them at Ewes Quilting. I think it would be fun to have some sort of give-away to celebrate the completion of Curly Top and the slow return to my life- would anyone be interested? Still mulling the details over in my mind and will let you know the beginning of May. Have a wonderful day! Sorry for my englisch).

Saturday, June 30, 2012. City Girls Pulling Strings. Here's the virtual quilt. If you thought I used too many exclamation marks in my posts before, you haven't seen anything yet! This quilt is made from Monica Lee's newest fabric line, "City Girls" and I was asked to design and make the quilt! To be the first person to make a quilt from a fabric line was amazing and I'm so thankful for the experience! Here's a photo of Monica's line. The polka dots and stripes really set off the graphics nicely! Use your...
