Cooking the Books with Kelly-Jane. Join me in my Scottish kitchen - cooking, eating and cook book collecting. Sunday, 2 November 2008. It was with much excitement that I received Nigella Christmas. There are many recipes I’d like to try, and I have made a start, my question for myself in relation to the blog was ‘Would I make a ‘project’ of it? My first make wasn’t sweet – I could hardly believe it myself! But definitely worth the effort. I'd like so much to visit your bookcase! I like the puddini! Have ...

pistachio en la cocina: Update!
http://pistachioenlacocina.blogspot.com/2008/08/update.html
Pistachio en la cocina. The day-to-day life of a foodie! Sunday, August 24, 2008. Thankfully I've now got us fully functional again computer-wise, as everything shuts here in August it's been frustratingly slow to order stuff and get it delivered. Also Mr P bought a new camera this week, so although I haven't had time to even think about replacing mine, at least I can "borrow" his when I need to. Now all I need to do is recapture my mojo and I'm back in business, lol. Hope your mojo returns soon! I've no...

Lili in the Kitchen: March 2009
http://lili-in-the-kitchen.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Lili in the Kitchen. Me chatting about food, family, friends and travel. Sunday, 29 March 2009. This weekend was a busy one. Starting with a night out with the girls on Friday to see Dave. A really good local band who do the BEST covers. We planned to eat out first, then meet other family and friends at the gig. Unfortunately we then got a call to say that the band had had to cancel as the lead singer, Paul, had pleurisy. So we enjoyed our meal out and had an early night instead! Is a favourite for lunch.

http://lili-in-the-kitchen.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Lili in the Kitchen. Me chatting about food, family, friends and travel. Monday, 10 August 2009. So, before i get back to talking about food, here are some shots of my other holiday (which is now also a distant but wonderful memory.). And enjoyed some wine tasting) but mainly hung out at the house, being entertained by Ben, preparing nice food and drinking good wine. The house had a few cookery books which we flicked through for inspiration, this. Tarte Noir from the Patisserie. Links to this post.

Lili in the Kitchen. Me chatting about food, family, friends and travel. Saturday, 28 August 2010. My Dad Beets All the Rest. Firstly, sorry for being away for so long. Sarah - first born, so pretty special. Http:/ thoroughlymodern...

breadwinecheese: June 2010
http://breadwinecheese.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
In my kitchen, talking to the backsplash. Monday, June 21, 2010. I've always been a fan of Jamie Oliver, owning four cookbooks and two of his DVD series The Naked Chef. And Jamie at Home. Allow me to highly recommend the latter for winding down after a very stressful day. Watching him and Brian, his gardener, putz about, discussing bugs and greens and the weather, then watching what Jamie does with his fresh ingredients all make for a very soothing presentation. And there you have it. Links to this post.
breadwinecheese: May 2011
http://breadwinecheese.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
In my kitchen, talking to the backsplash. Thursday, May 26, 2011. I'd like to post some lovely, updated photos of my garden for you to say "God, more photos AGAIN? Admittedly, I'm angry that this happened, all my hard work taken away by trash men; a fair amount of money and time lost; and what could have been my best crop ever of tomatoes and peppers, really interesting varieties that I was looking forward to sharing. Gone, just that like, with absolutely no way for me to have prevented it. And, just to ...

Mixed chicory blend (top); French Breakfast radishes (m); Parisienne carrots (bottom, r); arugula (bottom, m); and Thai chili pepper (bottom, l). Bucks County, PA.
