August 3, 2013. Skewers is something I have not done much of in the past, but lately we have done that a few times. First of all, its fun. And it is fast, and it looks every so pretty on the grill. Specially if you have varies types of meat and lots of different veggies! When we were down south on a slittle summer vacation I made a ton of skewers with pork, beef, peppers, mushrooms and zucchinis. The entire grilled was packed! Vermicelli with Sausage, Black Gold Garlic and Shallots. 6 oz dry vermicelli. 1 shallot, thinly sliced. 4 white garlic cloves, minced. 2-4 black garlic cloves, minced. 3 all natural (preference is local, artisan) sausage links. 2 tablespoons olive oil (splurge here, you deserve it). 1/4 cup pecorino romano (feel free to spoil yourself again). Juice from 1/2 a lemon. Dash white cooking wine.
