Wednesday, 9 July 2014. Strawberry and Lemon Cheesecake. I'm a huge fan of cheesecakes, so when we had friends over last weekend I made sure there was one on the menu. For main course we had pulled pork, coleslaw, home made bread rolls, salad and potato wedges - a nice simple meal that can be mostly prepared in advance, as who wants to spend a sunny Saturday evening in the kitchen when everyone is in the garden having fun. I chose to make two other desserts - chocolate fudge cake and rhubarb crumble.

It was to be a caramel apple cobbler, but the caramel sauce didn't go exactly to plan, although it did have a very happy ending and the result was a lovely smooth and dark toffee sauce. I would absolutely love a garden shed, but not just your run of the mill tool filled, musty smelling shed, it would be an extension of my home, or more importantly, my kitchen. Something like this Sigma Log Cabin from Tiger Sheds. Would be my absolute dream.
