Our British Post: September 2010
http://bhblackwell.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
I figured it was time to blow the dust of the blog and get a little something posted. I'm fully aware that likely everyone has stopped reading at this point, and this will now continue to be solely for the use of my grandparents. :) I have loads of photos from our holiday away in the States and Elam's 10th(! Birthday, but I will begin with this sort of weird event that has just occured in our lives. Silas begins in Year 2. Elam begins Year 6. Posted by the blackwells. Links to this post. Ben has been away in the States (Atlanta, this time) for his annual theological conferences. He presented a paper on Monday and we've just seen a review. From a well-known Pauline scholar, Michael Gorman. Well done, Ben! Posted by the blackwells. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Dunelm Road: Ben's Blog. I seriously love these boys. Just a few memorable moments of late:. My boys both told me they gave up chocolate for Lent. Last night after I made white chocolate crispy cakes for their babysitter Silas told me he only gave up brown chocolate. Then Elam tells me, 'Yeah, I did the same as Silas'. I saw Silas eating a bag of cheese and onion crisps with a spoon. He said it's so he doesn't get greasy hands. Guessing he's more likely to end up a clean freak than a health nut. Silas gets an armload of eggs, too. One of my favorite flower displays at church. Every year our church family brings flowers to decorate the empty cross - I absolutely love this! When the sun hid behind the clouds, it was still a bit cold. But we decided to get out for a bit last weekend and headed to Saltwell Park. We had a fun time exploring, kicking around the football, and letting the boys play on the play equipment and the bouncy castles. Posted by the blackwells. Our British Post: March 2010
http://bhblackwell.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
They all said it would go by way too fast. I was at a baby shower yesterday. I was sitting in this room of ladies - about 20 in all with 6 that happened to be pregnant - and I realized that even though I wasn't the oldest I was a little out of place with the 'baby talk'. All these moms were talking diapers and breastfeeding and due dates and it suddenly hit me that I haven't had those talks in a while. A decade of motherhood. How crazy is that? How is this possible? Where did the time go? Doors to the Sea.
