Life and Family of an Expat Mummy: Growing Up
http://expatmummy.blogspot.com/2015/05/growing-up.html
Life and Family of an Expat Mummy. Saturday, May 30, 2015. I had one of those moments today. Do you know those moments, when you are all alone and you suddenly realize how much your children have grown up? And then I realized in just five years, he will be where Elizabeth is right now, and finishing elementary school. But even more shocking was the thought that Isaac was going to be finishing high school when Kai is finishing elementary school. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our Other Family Blogs.
Life and Family of an Expat Mummy: November 2013
http://expatmummy.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Life and Family of an Expat Mummy. Thursday, November 28, 2013. Another year - another Thanksgiving. I like Thanksgiving as the whole day is based around a meal and one thing I really do enjoy is cooking. I decided we would make Rice Crispy Thanksgiving Turkeys. They all got involved - I thought I would be lucky if my boys made even one as they are not big into crafts but they all loved making these. The end result were these little turkeys! I suspect that her kids didn't make hers - as they look perfect!

Life and Family of an Expat Mummy. Tuesday, December 16, 2014. My first letter from Kai. Kids have ways to make your heart melt. 13 and 11 year olds will give you a hug as you say good night, and then refuse to let go. Even though they don't say "I love you" as much any more, it's those moments that you know that they still do love you. And you hug back just as tightly - and tell them! Links to this post. Life and Family of an Expat Mummy: March 2014
http://expatmummy.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Life and Family of an Expat Mummy. Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Tonight at dinner time Elizabeth asked everyone "If you had 3 super powers what would they be? After a little discussion, Kai pipes up and said "I would have the super power to freeze time, so that when Dad is running late to take me to preschool, I would freeze time so that I would get to preschool in time to play in the gym". Life and Family of an Expat Mummy: I love you "this much"
http://expatmummy.blogspot.com/2015/04/i-love-you-this-much.html
Life and Family of an Expat Mummy. Friday, April 24, 2015. I love you "this much". Today when we were walking home from school, Kai said "Mum, I love you a little, a lot and a million". I responded by opening my arms wide and telling him that I loved him "this much". He laughed and said "Well, I love you this much" and pushed his arms backwards (because love is a competition! Then he added on. But I love you even more than that, I just can't open my arms big enough.". Awwww What a sweetheart.
Life and Family of an Expat Mummy: January 2014
http://expatmummy.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Life and Family of an Expat Mummy. Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Isaac and Elizabeth seem to have inherited a knack for Math from Ben. Ben once said to me that he just sees Math, and I think Elizabeth is showing that same tendency. Both kids are in a Math Club - their choice. The other week, Elizabeth's teacher told me that Elizabeth's strength is logic - that she is the one who can look at a problem and know what to do. She just seems to "see" math too. Life and Family of an Expat Mummy: February 2014
http://expatmummy.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Life and Family of an Expat Mummy. Sunday, February 23, 2014. We got a new refrigerator on Thursday. It's a big, four door fridge with the freezer down the bottom and an ice machine. I had a fairly good idea on what I wanted, but we all went shopping as a family to buy the fridge. Kai and Lizzy loved looking inside all of the fridges, and testing everything out. When the fridge arrived on Thursday, Kai was super excited. He kept on saying "It's the fridge that I picked Mummy! Links to this post.
Life and Family of an Expat Mummy: January 2015
http://expatmummy.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Life and Family of an Expat Mummy. Saturday, January 31, 2015. Elizabeth has been learning about concrete and abstract nouns in Language Arts. They had to write a poem about an abstract noun (an idea, feeling, quality or characteristic) - and use concrete nouns (things that can be seen, heard, smelled, touched or tasted) to describe it. Links to this post. Thursday, January 15, 2015. However, the other day Kai made me some Lego creations. I was on my bed reading when he came in. Mummy Is this your stuff?

Life and Family of an Expat Mummy. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. At dinner tonight, we reflected on all that has happened in 2013. It has really been a lovely year. Here is our review of what has happened:. Isaac and I saw the Tutankhamun Exhibit at the Pacific Science Center. Ben and I start playing multiplayer games together - we start with Torchlight. Isaac moved from Cub Scouts to Scouts. Ben and I see Suzanne Vega in concert. I went to England for a week with Kristina. I get a new niece. Isaac went to...

Cookie's on Upper Red Lake. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. March 22, 2018. Once that was open I headed out to start bringing the fleet home. Just taking my time I was able to bring north Carolina, north Dakota and florida home . Since the heat was still on I spent the extra time to go ahead and get them vacuumed and cleaned up from the past weekend. But you still have to get them to bite? March 19, 2018. My blogging has not been as much as I would like. After a couple days you ca...

Cookies or Biscuits? – An Aussie girl, cooking in the US
An Aussie girl, cooking in the US. Clams with Garlic & Herb Spaghetti. March 16, 2016. One great thing about living in the Northwest is that we have fantastic access to fresh seafood. This recipe for Clams with Garlic and Herb Spaghetti makes use of one of our local favorites. Clamming takes a little more work as you have to dig – some varieties you dig very deeply. Every year we visit Orcas Island – another place with easy access to clamming. However, we are usually lazy and don̵...They are fresh an...

This is why 9 is my favorite. He is so real. He hurts and he hates and he is so far from perfect. He’s somebody that you want on your side. Because he will never give up and he will never stop fighting. The doctor doesn’t have a perfect past. He has lost everything and he is still losing everything. And that’s what makes 9 so sad. The fact that he shows his emotion and he gets power from it. And that power makes him a monster. But his emotion makes him a man. Lol I want to say this to someone one day.
