Pondering life through the written word. A Kitchen Sink Post. I think it’s Friday →. Book review Haikus: The Twilight Series. I’ve completed all four of the Twilight series books. I know there is really nothing noteworthy I could say about these books, positive or negative, that hasn’t already been said. I did write an actual review of the first book. But for the remaining three, I present haikus:. Solace with Jacob, werewolf? Saves Edward. Ciao. Nevermind. There are newborns. Baby Renesmee. WTF?

Pondering life through the written word. The blog post I was going to write. Fitness program 4.0 →. Getting stuck in the rain. I took the dog on a walk this afternoon, just around the block. A little way out, it started raining very lightly with thunder rumbling far off in the distance. There was still a lot of space between each rain drop and the clouds seemed to be south of my neighborhood for the most part, so I wasn’t worried. I kept walking. Jane looked at me and asked, “are you okay, Mommy? I made ...

Pondering life through the written word. Book review: The Jungle. Book review: The Evolution of Bruno Littlemore →. I just got back from a run. And I ran fast. For one thing, the spring-like weather today allowed me to run in short pants (not shorts but pants that hit just below the knee) (I’m sure there’s a proper name for these? Why doesn’t anyone wear culottes anymore? I wanted my lungs to be winded. I wanted my heart to be pounding. Where did all this energy come from? This entry was posted in fitness.

Pondering life through the written word. Getting stuck in the rain. Fitness program 4.0. A friend of mine asked the other day about whether or not my usual crazy fitness program is happening this summer. Since I haven’t been jabbering about it on Facebook or writing about it here, she wasn’t sure. Well of course the fitness program is under way. Haven’t missed a workout (6x per week) for six weeks. I’m carefully tracking what I eat for those six days each week as well. Tuesday: interval workout core work.

Pondering life through the written word. Newer posts →. There’s the packing. And then the moving. And then the unpacking. We don’t have internet in the new house yet, so I’ve been sadly separated from most of what I usually do with my computer. Not that I would have had time anyhow. Just saying hi. I’m still here, just really silly busy. I think it’s Friday. I think it’s Friday. What I mean is that I’ve hit summer vacation, arguably one of the great things about my job as a teacher. Summer also gives me ...

Pondering life through the written word. Had a bad run this afternoon. I had a terrible run this afternoon. I headed out around 4:45 hoping to get in a quick 30 minutes (I’ve been running 45 to 75 minutes lately) before I was meeting some friends for an early dinner. And I felt terrible. My feet, my knees, my legs as a whole–everything just hurt. I felt sluggish, like I was hardly running. I felt like each step was pounding the earth and jarring my whole body. Young and strong and push myself physically ...

Bags To Bags: The Facts
http://bagstobags.blogspot.com/2009/11/story.html
One disposable plastic bag can take up to 1,000 years to decompose. Annually, 500 billion plastic bags are consumed worldwide. The United States is responsible for one fifth of the consumption. Each high quality reusable bag you use, eliminates an average of 1,000 plastic bags over its lifetime. It costs more to recycle a plastic bag than it takes to make a new one. Therefore only 1-3% of plastic bags are recycled in the US annually. Promote Your Page Too. To contact me or if you are interested in donati...
