Cookin' Chicks: November 2008

http://cookinchicks.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Friday, November 14, 2008. These two recipes are from the book that I received from Lindsey's kindergarten class (see previous post below). I thought they were pretty funny. This book I received on Mother's Day from Lindsey when she was in kindergarten (she is now in 2nd grade). I just love how the kids describe how the food is made. Very funny :). This book has GREAT recipes. Everything I have made from this book has been delicious! You can't go wrong with this one :). 2 and 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.

Cookin' Chicks: Pita Pocket

http://cookinchicks.blogspot.com/2011/02/pita-pocket.html

Thursday, February 24, 2011. Not too long ago, while walking around Smith's, I came across these whole grain pita sandwich pockets. There are 6 in the package and at a 100. Calories a pocket, it makes for low calorie meal. So I picked one up and decided we would try it. We've tried different things in them, but our favorite is grilled chicken, lettuce, veggies, cheese, and a little dressing. So I took some pics of Jared making his, just to show you guys what we do. Cookin' Chicks: September 2009

http://cookinchicks.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 18, 2009. Chicken and Potato Bake. We have decided to try a new recipe each week. So far we have done pretty good. This is one of them that we tried and we loved it. I just used boneless skinless chicken but cut it into smaller portions. It fed a lot more than what it says it would feed. Enjoy! 1 hr 10 min. 4 bone-in chicken pieces (1-1/2 lb.). 1-1/2 lb. potatoes (about 3), cut into thin wedges. 1/4 cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing. 1/4 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese. 3 1/2 cups milk.

In the Kitchen with Melissa. Thursday, November 17, 2011. JD has a co-worker named Longi (I'm not sure that is spelled correct) that made a wonderful drink that JD raved about one night after work. I told him if he got the recipe I would put it somewhere safe and make it again for him sometime. So here it is. 1- 12 oz can crushed pineapple. JD doesn't like coconut so I would omit as did Longi when he shared this with JD. Frozen coconut flakes (only available in oriental stores). Melissa and J.D.
