Essential Ingredients | cookingfanatic
https://cookingfanatic.wordpress.com/essential-ingredients
Skip to primary content. I’ve got some top ingredients to share with you. Here they are:. Coarse sea salt – this must be sprinkled on dishes. To get the full Lorraine effect. WARNING: sprinkling coarse salt into hot oil (e.g. for roast potatoes) can cause serious splashback. Tea – not to put into recipes; to put into yourself before, during and after cooking. Lemongrass – you only need to buy this once in your life, and it will then sit in the cupboard unused for ever. Je ne sais quoi.

Essential Kit | cookingfanatic

Skip to primary content. Like Lorraine I have some essential equipment to make homecooking easy. Here are my top 10:. A dishwasher – cooking isn’t really worth doing if you have to wash up afterwards. If you can’t afford a dishwasher, press-gang a friend or admirer into being your slave instead. While he’s at it, he could also empty the bins, clean the gunk out of the sink, and other manly jobs. Wooden skewers – invaluable for poking things. Go ahead and be imaginative! I used mine to get some old polyfi...
Root veg Toad in the Hole | cookingfanatic

Skip to primary content. Root veg Toad in the Hole. January 7, 2013. In our house, Sunday lunch has to be something that’s easy to fit around church and isn’t too expensive. It’s ideal if it can work for having guests over too. Here’s an interesting variation on toad in the hole – it’s more classy than sausages, but it’s also pretty cheap. In fact, it’s nearly vegetarian, but I didn’t tell Mr Cookingfanatic that. Then you pour over the batter and bake in the oven. This entry was posted in Other Cooking.
