Cooking Like A Grown-Up: September 2008
http://cookinglikeagrownup.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Cooking Like A Grown-Up. Adventures in learning how to be a home cook - after years of just eating other people's food! Sunday, September 14, 2008. It wasn’t until I moved from New York to Virginia that I began to show an interest in cooking food myself. The main reason, of course, was that I had stopped working and we could no longer afford to order in every single night. The other, just as important motivator was this: I no longer had access to the foods I knew and loved! Black and Whites are a snap!

Cooking Like A Grown-Up. Adventures in learning how to be a home cook - after years of just eating other people's food! Saturday, September 13, 2008. Crawling Before you Walk. Prior to the last 5 years, my way of making dinner was more like making dinner happen, rather than actually cooking it. And make it happen I could, by using one of two of my favorite methods – calling for delivery or calling for reservations. Voila – dinner is served! Here are some tips to help you get started:. 2) Follow the recip...

Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Xtra-tufs Are a Win Win! This was my second year participating in the RBCA Annual Beer and Wine Tasting Event. This year I made these fun Xtra-tuf cake pops. In additon to the total Alaskan Xtra-Tuf theme, they were made with my chocolate stout cake recipe. The stout being Alaskan Brewing Company Stout. How's that for an Alaskan ingredient? For winning the chef off appetizer portion. Yay for Seward talent! Seward locals took home both wins this year! Links to this post. Seeme...

The Moon Muse Blog: Oh what to bring to the Thanksgiving potluck
http://alaskandermishinthekitch.blogspot.com/2014/12/oh-to-bring-to-thanksgiving-potluck.html
Monday, December 8, 2014. Oh what to bring to the Thanksgiving potluck. Most Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners are spent with friends. So many folks here have little family here so we all band together and enjoy our big family of misfits :). I don't have a lot of Thanksgiving cookie cutters and this idea from Sweet Sugar Belle. I used my standard cut out cookie recipe and omitted citrus and added pumpkin pie spice. Here is a close up of the pumpkin pie decorated cookies:. Follow The Moon Muse.
