Cooking on a Dime – Adventures in Belgian Waffle Making
http://www.cookingonadime.com/index.php/2012/adventures-in-belgian-waffle-making
Adventures in Belgian Waffle Making. August 31, 2012, In Breakfast. Adventures in Belgian Waffle Making. Sometimes somewhat at random I will pick a recipe from the internet (how random is based on whether or not I have the ingredients necessary to make the dish). The other weekend I decided that I wanted to make homemade Belgian waffles, this sounded like a great idea. I had seen it done before! To try out. I was going to try a yeast kind but this one sounded good. I figured out why once I melted...Recip...

The Philly Food Feed: June 2009
http://phillyfoodfeed.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 27, 2009. A Visit to the Philadelphia City Hall Farmer's Market. When Ben posted about the opening of a Farmers Market being held every Wednesday at Philadelphia’s City Hall I was instantly intrigued. I immediately commented practically begging Ben to go and report back on what it was like. Ben's response was that I should go and report on it and I will be forever grateful for that suggestion. The main stand that caught our attention was representing the McCann Farm. Links to this post.
The Philly Food Feed: A Rittenhouse Special
http://phillyfoodfeed.blogspot.com/2013/04/a-rittenhouse-special.html
Sunday, April 28, 2013. We came across ramps at the Rittenhouse Farmers' Market this past Saturday brought to us fresh by Down Home Acres out of Gilbertsville, PA. Since we already had purchased three bunches of asparagus from Rineer Family Farm on the other side of the market, we decided that we wanted to do something with asparagus and ramps together. We found a recipe online that incorporated the two along with a fried egg and multi-grain bread. We went with this recipe. I call it a Rittenhouse Special.

The Philly Food Feed: The Markets Are Back!!!
http://phillyfoodfeed.blogspot.com/2012/05/markets-are-back.html
Tuesday, May 8, 2012. The Markets Are Back! The aforementioned radishes are only some of the offerings we found at Chestnut Hill. They came courtesy of Taproot Farm. Taproot wasn't the only farm flexing farmer muscle. This army below marched in from the Rineer Family Farm. Remember when I said we came away full? Everything at Lucky Old Souls. Is housemade. Everything. The burgers? Of course, housemade. The bacon? Housemade. The ketchup? Their L.O.S. sauce? So there you have it. We are looking forward...

The Philly Food Feed: A Legend in Their Own Lunchtime
http://phillyfoodfeed.blogspot.com/2013/03/a-legend-in-their-own-lunchtime.html
Friday, March 15, 2013. A Legend in Their Own Lunchtime. It has been some time since I have updated this blog. While I have been busy managing the Rittenhouse Farmers' Market and getting the Far Northeast's first Farmers' Market off the ground, there really is no excuse. I'm just a lazy locavore. Last year Chef Andy Bates visited Philadelphia from across the pond and highlighted Philadelphia's local street food scene for an episode of his Food Network UK series - Andy Bates American Street Feasts. We her...
The Philly Food Feed: May 2009

Sunday, May 31, 2009. Return to Clark Park. On Saturday afternoon, Sarah, Ethan, and I returned to Clark Park for our upcoming week’s fruit and vegetable haul. And quite a haul it was! We chatted about the market and such and he introduced me to Keystone Farm’s Phylann. Russell. It turns out that Keystone Farm. Travels the longest distance to the park at 180 miles one way. We purchased our potatoes from their stand; while 180 miles is a long trip, it still beats getting your potatoes from Idaho. ...8217;...
The Philly Food Feed: Blueberry Pumpkin Muffins
http://phillyfoodfeed.blogspot.com/2012/01/blueberry-pumpkin-muffins.html
Sunday, January 15, 2012. I mentioned the other day how much my family loves pumpkins and how we have been using the proceeds of Fall's pumpkin bounty to make baked goods galore throughout these not-so-cold winter months. JACK MONROE – COOKING ON A BOOTSTRAP & MORE
COOKING ON A BOOTSTRAP and MORE. For the last few months, I have been spying little jars of soffritto paste in the specialty foods aisles of various supermarkets. Snuggled next to such exoticisms as ancho chillies, dried porcini mushrooms, and other things that it is ‘nice to have but not essential’ (although Waitrose now feature artichoke hearts in their Essentials range, for the love of God! Cooking On A Shoestring
Cooking On A Shoestring. Low cost, easy meals on a budget. Tuesday, 24 July 2012. There is nothing quite like a hearty pie to fill your stomach on a cold winter's night. This Chicken Cacciatore Pie is a tasty variation to the traditional version of Chicken Cacciatore, and in my view, even tastier. This recipe makes enough filling for 2 pies, so freeze half the Chicken Cacciatore for another time. 1/4 cup Olive Oil. 17kg Chicken Thigh Fillets, cut into 4cm pieces. 3 Red Onions, halved, thinly sliced.
