Here and now | cooking up baby
https://cookingupbaby.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/here-and-now
Travel, food, family. Josh told me to take a few days off, and I’m trying my hardest to just dwell in the here and now before launching myself into the various projects that have been lingering on the periphery of my mind for the last few months. Snapshots from my past three months:. I’m lying in bed, aware of the shuffling noises beside me and the sun streaming in through the windows. My eyes still closed, I feel a poke at my cheek. 8220;Time get up mom. It’s a sunny day! 8220;It’s a sunny day! I’...

Travel, food, family. A great idea for unwanted clothes (and how to get new ones in the process! Not too long ago I read an article in Slate Magazine. There are of course, great ways to avoid this fate for your clothes. Most to the point: don’t buy so many. Don’t buy clothes that don’t fit you, and don’t allow yourself to be lured in by the excessively cheap price tags or sale reductions you see on the shop windows. 3 Promote eco-friendly and socially conscious clothing consumption. Travel, food, family. Motherhood vs. Career. Why the dichotomy? I read an interesting blog post. I didn’t choose to have my daughter when I did, but she came and for the past three years she has been and will continue to be the central focus of my life. I am sitting in our new apartment. Finally. I apologise for the great hiatus. I may happen again. So yeah, life starts again. IR...

About la Familia de Aventura. The Greatest Adventure Yet. From Montreal to Mexico and Back Again. Laquo; Settling down. May 4, 2010 by Lauren Jane Heller. I had a little meltdown yesterday. I always seem to forget that returning home after a big trip can be far more stressful than anything encountered in the great unknown. It seems strange, after all of the challenges on the road, that things like doing taxes and paying rent can cause extreme anxiety, but there you are: they do. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Birth of a Mamma. Just another WordPress.com weblog. July 16, 2010 in Uncategorized. Comments feed for this article. July 16, 2010 at 12:41 pm. April still gropes me, but mostly while she’s nursing. Part of me wishes that I’d put a stop to it early on, because six months later, she shrieks at me when I remove her grip. On the positive side, sometimes she’ll sleep without nursing if I let her have her hand on my shirt. Oh babies. We miss you guys! I can’t wait to hang out again when we’re back!

Cooking up a treat. Wednesday, 1 May 2013. Rhubarb and Custard Cake. British rhubarb grows prolifically and is available to buy from March through to October. As we have a good garden supply I have accumulated a number of rhubarb recipes over the years. This rhubarb and custard cake is one of my favourites from The Good Food Magazine. It is a delicious teatime treat served with a cuppa. 250g pack butter, softened, plus extra for greasing. 150g pot ready-made custard (not the chilled kind; I used Ambrosia).
