Cooking with a Plan

The kitchen can be a scary place if you don't have an idea of what works and what doesn't work. This blog is a place for me to keep track of my recipe successes and failures. I will try recipes, review kitchen gadgets, and share my tips for prepping and planning great tasting meals.

The Martin Family: Easter 2011

http://pamartins.blogspot.com/2011/04/easter-2011.html

Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Easter this year was spent in New Jersey at Pop and Nana's house. It turned out to be a beautiful weekend with gorgeous spring weather on Easter Sunday and we had such a nice time visiting with family, partaking in the Easter festivities and, most importantly, celebrating Jesus' resurrection! Abby, all smiles with her favorite Poppy and Nana! I love my sister! After all of the excitement of the day, the Easter Bunny came while the little ones were all sound asleep. The usual sibl...

I like being a nerd. Laquo; When the cat’s away the mouse will assume there’s an imminent home invasion. On February 17, 2012. Ever since becoming a homeowner I have fully embraced the Saturdays painting and going to Lowes like it is as exciting as going out partying. While I haven’t neglected all fun and partying I have grown to love the home fixer upper deep inside of me. That caps lock is in no way an exaggeration of my excitement. I love the little drawers! The Hardings: January 2009

http://ronandkathleen.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Saturday, January 17, 2009. Out with the old, in with the new. The time has finally come to set aside the things of the past and move on to fresh beginnings. I have much to look forward to, a grueling season of expert racing, a spiffy new bike (known as the "Tanginer" by my beloved teammates) and finally, freaking FINALLY a brand-spanking new helmet. It's shiny, has pads, doesn't smell, and comes complete with a new fangled adjustment thingy so that it actually fits. It really is the simple things in life.

The Hardings: September 2009

http://ronandkathleen.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 10, 2009. There's really no other way to put it. My legs feel like drift. I'm having muscle pain that has nothing to do with a hard workout, its strain, it feels twingy like a pin prick or a sharp itch that you can't scratch. I just want to ride my bike for fun, and sometimes I don't want to ride it at all (gasp! In light of my charred countenance. I've not so secretly decided to forgo. Racing Bear Creek ( WTF. I'm not totally disappointed. I better hurry up and recover.
