Chronicles of the clayton kitchen…. Supper tonight made good use of the recipes from cooking camp. I didn’t think round 2 would be this soon. I can’t believe I made. 5/100 | cookingwithclaytons

Chronicles of the clayton kitchen…. So, inspired by The Hundred-Foot Journey’s “five sauces” of French cuisine, and the band Five Seconds of Summer, I came up with the play on words: 5sos = 5 Sauces of Summer. Our year of family travel and education…. Posts Tagged With: earthquake. Baking for Nepal: Real-Life Learning. May 7, 2015. As we chatted at the dinner table the other night about the devastating earthquake in Nepal, I challenged our girls to do something to help. We talked about the possibilities, and suggested they try to organize something with classmates. The youngest one asked how you spell Nepal, and wrote it in her agenda. So, what has my daughter learned in school this week? Math, geography, lang...

Cooking With Clay

Sunday, 26 October 2008. Orange Cupcakes (approx. 12 servings). This recipe is mine and i did not copy or adapted from others recipes. Muffin cup pans, preferably non-stick. If non-stick ones aren't readily available, aluminium or stainless steel will do, provided they're smeared with butter and dusted with flour. The ones I used were 7 cm wide and 2.5 cm tall. Electrical egg-beater. A whisk will do in a pinch. 60 grams of margarine. 135 grams of sugar. 200 grams of self-rising flour. Add a sachet of sug...

Yes, yes I know: I’ve neglected posting recipes and commentary in this platform for an embarrassing number of months. And there’s no good reason, really, other than poor compartmentalization in my other creative endeavors. There’s also a matter of teaching which occupies a hearty part of my time.
