Cooking With Dan: Porcini Ravioli

http://cookingwithdangenho.blogspot.com/2014/08/porcini-ravioli.html

Exploring Dan's culinary pursuits. Thursday, August 14, 2014. So tonight I had some porcinis left over from some other things I've made. I tried to come up with a way to use them as the "meat" in a meal, they are known as the poor man's steak, which is really ironic because fresh porcinis go for about $25/lb, I could buy some real good beef for a lot less than that. So I thought I'd try to come up with something. Divide it in half. 2 tbsp minced Garlic. 2 tbsp Olive oil. Cover the bottom sheet and porcin...

So without further adieu here is the newest recipe. 1 tbsp mince Garlic. 3 cups Chicken Broth. Pinch of Thyme (because I can). Salt and Peper to taste. Salt and Pepper to taste. Preheat oven to 500.

Exploring Dan's culinary pursuits. Sunday, August 2, 2009. So I made the dark beads on this necklace on my lathe, they are a wood called Texas Ebony, I inlayed one with turquoise. My sisters helped me bead this up, it was all for a girl that I've been dating, I won't put her name so she's not embarrassed. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://alljensen.blogspot.com/2014/05/i-guess-weve-been-mia-from-blogging.html

Thursday, May 1, 2014. I guess we've been MIA from the blogging world for a while. Not quite a year though. I thought I'd share this video of Lou and Dan. This is what our evenings (and our days are filled with). So fun and happy! Of course I didn't have the camera recording the best part. Louis and Dan kept galloping past the doorway and it was pretty funny to watch them together. I only posted all of these for the sake of the grandparents. :) Time to improve my awesome video skills. Cooking with Daddy

Tuesday, October 8, 2013. I have always been a big fan of hummus (I think I first tried it in college) which is a sort of middle-eastern bean dip made from cooked chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans), garlic, tahini (a paste made from sesame seeds) and olive oil. So without further ado, here was my first attempt:. Kitchen-Aid 16 cup food processor, standard blade attachment. Flexible silicone spatula (for scraping the sides of the mixing bowl). 2 cans chickpeas, drained. 10 cloves garlic, peeled. You can use h...

Cooking with Dana

Sunday, April 1, 2012. Mango and Coconut Rice Pudding. It's been a while since I've updated my blog. With the encouragement of my friend Natalie I've finally returned. This isn't a original recipe, I've adapted if from a video I saw on YouTube. It's basically a cross between a rice pudding and that sticky mango rice that you get at Thai restaurants. This recipe calls for coconut milk, if you don't have any or don't like coconut milk feel free to use regular milk. You will need for 4 serving. Sunday, Augu...

Cooking With Darly

Darly cooks, once in a while blogs about it. Barbecue Shrimp, New Orleans Style. Curious name, as it's cooked on a stove, not outside over charcoal. But definitely one of NOLA's signature dishes, consisting of tender, sweet shrimp cooked in a richly reduced buttery sauce. I looked at several recipes, all confirming they were mostly variants of the same thing. However I made several tweaks. Next, garlic powder? Finally: Cajun seasoning is basically salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika and dried herbs, so...
